This is a great bag for hiking, picnics, bug out, range day, or any other short term outdoor or recreational event. I used this bag on about 7 day hikes (between 7 and 12 miles) and it was great. I packed a full gallon of water, clothing, med kit, sleeping bag, tent, and food. It was great for these short trips. I was so impressed by the bag that I took it backpacking for 7 days on the Colorado Trail. The zippers held up, the shoulder straps worked well and stayed tight, the Molly system was awesome for adding all sorts of things like my bed roll, first aid kit, combat knife, tent, sleeping bag, and parachute chord. The only thing that broke was the tension straps designed to compress the load as much as possible. This happened on the first day of the hike. The clasp snapped off and flew so far away I couldn't find them. Luckily the backpack came with plenty of carabiners and other gadgets that I was able to rig up a temporary solution to get me through the trip. I really liked this bag. I did three combat tours, and I believe this would be a bag that would endure the rigors of those harsh conditions. My only suggestion to the company would be to work on strengthening the tension straps. ... show more

After using for 4-5 months the lining on the inside of this bag has started coming undone. Leaving bits of this all over my clothing and items inside. I will use the bag in a another Manner. But not for my weekly trek I too Oklahoma. It does seem to be well made, just comes apart on the inside
