I wear M/L. And the "standard size" felt like a small. I couldn't even wear it, unfortunately, and had to order a different brand dress. I think the costume is a great set otherwise, complete with belt and dagger! Wish it included a wig for the price- it does not.

I ordered two different Elvira costumes from the same store - one for me & one for my girlfriend, both in size Small. This one did not fit like the pictures and it was not nearly as low cut as Elvira would have wanted! My girlfriend wore this one (she's the one wearing fishnet hose & you can see her blue bra strap in the pictures). She's 5'4" & a size 4 with very perky 34DDs and even tried several different push-up bras, but we couldn't get the girls to show very much. The slit is kinda high, but also not as high as we would have liked. The sleeves kept sliding off of her shoulders, but that might be because she's only a size 4 with narrow shoulders. On the good side - the material was thick and not sheer at all, it held up to a crazy night very well, and could definitely be worn again - unlike some other costumes. It was also pretty comfortable. I liked her belt much better than the one that came with mine, too, as it was wider and much more sturdy. Looking at some of the other reviews/pictures maybe there was something wrong with this particular dress since others seem to be low cut. But, we just couldn't get much Elvira-style cleavage to show, especially for a woman who uh, let's just say has as much as she has to offer, lol. Otherwise, it probably would have been a 4 or 5 star review. Ordered it too close to Halloween to return/exchange, unfortunately, or she wouldn't have had anything to wear and we wanted to go as Elvira twins. (FYI - I'm 5'7" so I took off my heels for the pics to look about the same height as her.) ... show more

I love this dress! As a fan and for a project that I am working on for an independent film series, I was casted as no other than the Mistress of the dark!! Filling Elvira's shoes is a hard one, but with her actual line of licensed merchandise, it helps a little. (No one can do better than the original of course!!!) I am 5'2" and a 118 pounds I have a 34 DD bust. I purchased the Smallest size (small, I believe) and it fit great! You'll definitely need a specific bra, preferably strapless, or maybe some double sided Hollywood tape for when you're bending down or over to pick something up (if the dress is not to tight, on you that is) and for the shoulder portion. (It was designed that way, to be very revealing! But if you're having any issues the Hollywood tape helps.) The belt is not very good quality, it is definitely like a Halloween store creation. The dagger/knife is also a foam Halloween like prop, and I had to trim the blade down a bit. I also added metallic paint to it for a shine since it is a dagger after all. I overally am very satisfied with the dress! It wasn't to big and it wasn't to long. With heels it still touched the floor, and I didn't step on the bottom of the dress. (5'5" in heels) I recommend this dress for any Elvira costume or cosplay for sure!!!!! But it also makes a beautiful sexy gothic style dress in general as well! ... show more

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the dress it's a bit heavy so if living in a warm climate be aware of that,, but it's i good material this will last many many years the whole outfit Is gorgeous I can't wait to wear it !!!!!!! I am glad I bought this costume and I will definitely buy again from same co .... Once I practice on make up from tutorial I will look great!!!!! Now I'm not quite is busty as Elvira herself is so I purchased the deep plunge u bra .. Again it's awesome I can actually use with other clothing !!! The wig is gorgeous once I figured out I needed to put in something under wig to give the beehive hairdo and then once I pinned it back it looks fantastic....!I highly recommend I purchase the small I'm five for about 135 lbs 34b 28 36 and it fits great ... there were other reviews about the dagger and they said that it was Cheesy and yes it is made of foam, but if it weren't it would dig into your your stomache so I personally I'm going to use it and I think it really looks nice gives you the ability to bend be comfortable so all in all I absolutely recommend this costume ... show more
