Never did like drinking from metal or plastic and discovered I’m not alone! This mug is perfect. Pretty sturdy. The cap is plastic with a rubber gasket to help keep it from falling out but your lips hardly touch it. The handle is large enough for larger hands and higher up on the cup to allow it to sit in a cup holder. I do have a little problem leaving the rubber bottom piece behind as my cup holder is tight but no biggy for me. I just place it back in the rubber within the cup holder. It detaches to make it washable, I expect. Coffee stays hot enough to have enough time to drink it but is not a thermal cup. Fits under the Keurig with grate removed. Top will not stay in the cup if you tip it upside down. It’s not a sippy cup. ... show more

Not leakproof at all, and absolutely does not keep hot beverages hot for longer than a normal ceramic mug. HOWEVER, 4 big ole stars for being able to shove it in the dishwasher, lid and all. Also for the silicone bottom- it doesn’t fit in my car cupholder, but because of the silicone bottom, it grips the top of that space so tightly that it stays the heck put and doesn’t move. It’s got massive capacity. I can use the 12oz level on my Keurig or french press and have room for another 2-4 ounces of whatever, with space still left between lid and liquid. As a side not I don’t know why but I really love the mug’s ridged sides and smooth glaze. The mug itself feels good to hold, and the handle is not uncomfortable, either, even when the mug is full. It’s not a heavy mug on its own- probably why it doesn’t retain heat better than average. I highly recommend it unless you want to extend the temperature of your drink. In that case, get something else. Also the lid fits well and functions well but if you start to tip the mug over it will absolutely leak on you. I really like this mug - I think that it is well considered and nicely engineered. Ceramic is pretty slick and they've added rings / ridges around the body of the mug that improve one's grip on the mug. The lid fits nicely into the top of the mug, resting on a little ledge that they likely added just for this purpose. Finally, the bottom of the mug has a rubberized outer layer. It allows the mug to sort of become a plug for car dash cup holders - the rubberized portion is tapered and the rubberized material really grips the cup holder nicely. I think this is an ok mug and ceramic is nicer than metal. But I had hoped that it would keep hot beverages hot for longer and it doesn’t . It works better if you fill with water and microwave it before filling with coffee, but what a process! However, it is attractive and water certainly tastes better in it and it is very heavy and unlikely to be knocked over by the cat. ... show more

A little pricy, but hard to find one of equal quality and features that is not. The non slip base is nice, the handle could be just a tad bit larger, but it is not what I would call small. Good height and dimeter but still fits in my K-cup sized coffee maker. With 16 oz of fluid inside, it reaches just over half way up the cup. There is extra room for the lid (I do not use), so there is plenty of room for cream and other stuff that ruins coffee IMHO. You could probably get more than 20 oz inside and still have a little room left over. Only thing is like I have read from others, the body does get quite warm. But, it is NOT an insulated cup and the cup wall is a bit thin. So that is to be expected. Overall, I like it and would buy it again. Just wish it was a little less expensive. ... show more

It is heavy with a nonslip bottom grip. It is the perfect size cup. Really, really happy with it. Very nice looking, keeps your coffee or tea at a good temp. It has a push in removable top to drink from that closes that I didn't know about until I got it. And it warm hands when holding to drink from if you don't want to hold the handle. bought 2 of these mugs because they are glass/porcelain and I tend to sip my coffee throughout the day...thus needing to warm my beverage container up a couple of times. I wanted to stop using plastic products in the microwave because it cant be good long term. When purchasing these I noticed they were heavy and solid in weight which I thought would be great for heat retention. This is not the case. They lose heat in the beverage relatively fast and it is very unfortunate. Normally I would microwave up the plastic re-usable cup (with lid) 1 time in the microwave and it would be hot enough for me to finish it...when switching to this I find myself needing to warm this mug up 2-3xs more. I dont know why it is so difficult to find a large glass coffee mug with a reusable lid that can retain heat well. Pros of the mug are it is large, it is solid and stable. Glass not plastic which is better reheating in the micro wave. Cons: Deceiving in weight to heat ratio - you think large thick mug = good heat retention, not the case. just as it is a pro it could also be a con - could be considered too heavy/large for some. ... show more
