I love this model from Ello. Originally I had the plastic one- it was perfect but I sadly lost it. It was my emotional support water bottle so I needed a new one quick as I was becoming rapidly dehydrated. After a long search reading articles and reviews about different bottles, I just knew I had to stick with an Ello bottle. The body and build of this bottle is pretty standard sizing- it’s tall and will fit in cup holders, which I appreciate it. What really sets it apart is the mouthpiece. It’s perfect. It’s not too rubbery like the Nalgene one or just hard plastic like what you’d get from a Hydroflask. Both are these long plastic mouthpieces that you flip up. The Ello is encased with a plastic cover that you press a bottom to flip up- very important as I find the fold up ones are still exposed and that grosses me out. The ello has this perfect lil spout with just the optimal rubber density and slurp resistance that gets you water with minimal effort. I love it. I’ve yet to find another water bottle with that mouthpiece design. The metal one provides pretty decent insulation- it kept my water cold for quite a while! It has a nice textured finish so it’s not slippery and comes in cute colors. Only downside- the top part leaks, especially when it’s on its side, which has gotten a lot of things in tote bags soaked . I just make sure not to put it in any bags. I love this water bottle. I use one of them every single day. I take them everywhere I go! I recently had one break (the lid would no longer close), but it lasted quite a long time when you consider how much I use it and the amount of time I’ve dropped it on accident! I’m a nanny for four kids and we’re always on the go and my water goes everywhere with us. If it’s not me dropping it, it’s one of the kids. It really held up so well and it keeps my water cold on hot days! I love that the mouth piece is completely covered so that it stays clean even when dropped or sneezed on, etc. The colors are so cute! I have three different shades of pink lol! Overall, an amazing water bottle and I can’t see myself ever using a different brand! ... show more

This bottle keeps your drinks COLD! I really like the rubber end to drink out of and that it has a lock so it doesn't spill. The only issue you will have is if you pit carbonated beverages in it. It will leak from that.

I am odd in that I don't like a straw water bottle - I like to tip it back and drink that way. This water bottle is the best one I've found for that - the soft spout never bangs me in the lip and has enough of a seal that it won't leak, but you don't need to use a lot of suction. Hence, "grown up sippy cup." The 22 oz size fits in a standard cup holder and the loop handle is easy to hang on a bag, on a hook, etc. All of the pieces come apart easily for washing and replacement pieces are easily available when needed. The only criticism is that the teeth on the top of the lid which keep it locked into the bottom can break off if you're not careful. Once they do, you have to replace the whole lid. But, not enough of a problem to keep me from buying 10+ of these now! ... show more

UPDATE: I changed my rating from two to five stars. I contacted Ello through their website and explained what had occurred. They responded quickly and told me they were sending me a replacement lid. I have received the placement lid, and my bottle is now working properly. I've had my bottle for eight months, and it was great until yesterday when the rubber ring on the lid broke off. Because of it, the lid no longer flips open on its own. The bottle is still functional, but it is upsetting because I purchased this type of bottle specifically for the lid mechanism. I wish I had read the reviews because this appears to be a common issue. Hopefully, Ello reads the reviews and improves how this bottle is manufactured. Aside from that, the bottle is a nice size, and I really like the carrying loop. I personally don't think this bottle does the best job of keeping items cold. I've had other bottles that have done a far better job. ... show more

I ordered 2 of the 20 oz bottles at the beginning of the school year... one for my teenage son and the other for myself .. I sub at a school and I can't always leave to refill it so I decided to oder a 40 oz ... it's great ... my water stays cold all day and I can lock the lid and put in my bag at the end of the day if I need both hands walking kids to the bus or car pool ... I will buy more for my self and teacher gifts ... show more
