  • You get what you pay for and that isnt much
Size: 9 Color: Black Polyurethane
I LOVE these boots. I really wanted real leather, but I figured these would work for $30 and they would allow me to find out if I would even wear the style enough to justify spending much more for a good pair. They were pretty good, even when wearing them all day. No padding in the ball of the foot, so 2 days in a row with a lot of walking was excruciating by the end of day 2. Not surprising because pain is beauty, am I right? Still, worth it. But the 5th time that I wore them, for a photo shoot none the less, the rubber part on the heel falls off and I cant seem to get the 3 pegs back into the holes to reattach it with superglue or E6000 (that stuff holds everything). Honestly, I'm VERY disappointed because I have really been loving them, but they have fallen apart rather quickly. 5 wears before they fall apart? I'd rather pay more and have them hold up. These are not for daily wear, but fine for every once in a while for a convention or something. ... show more

  • Mabe nice for a Victorian clown?
Size: 10 Color: Black Polyurethane
These shoes really are nice as a whole but I had a few issues with them that ended up causing me to return them. First the positive: These shoes are perfect for a sort of Dickensesque costume (with the exception of the side zipper but they'll do if you're on a budget.) I loved the shape of the heel and found them moderately comfortable for the little bit I wore them around the house. You can adjust the laces a bit and the shoe itself seemed of pretty high quality for what you pay. But now the negative: The toe on these shoes are really, really, I mean realllllyyy long. They looked comical on my size 9.5 foot. That being stated, the long toe makes them not so easy to walk in. They feel awkward, almost like clown shoes and and they were pretty much impossible under a hoop skirt. Lastly, the ankle/calf area was pretty baggy on me. If you're a gal with smaller feet and bigger calves, I'd say go for it but otherwise, for us bigger footed and perhaps smaller calved people, I'd say these are a pass. Also, not really a negative but they fit a bit small so I would say if you are inbetween sizes, size up. ... show more

  • I have WIDE feet and my regular (9) size fit great.
Size: 9 Color: Black Polyurethane
I NEVER buy shoes that aren't leather, however I got these for a costume. I figured I could deal with it for an afternoon. I was really pleased, however, when I wore them for most of the day and my feet felt fine. They are light weight and soft. I have very wide feet and I thought I'd be squeezing my toes in like an ugly stepsister, but they fit great. I wear a 9. I bought a 9. Excellent fit, even for my square feet. ... show more

  • Comfortable, but not particularly durable
So I bought these shoes to wear with my steampunk/Victorian gear. Pros: nice looking shoes and quite comfortable to walk around in, right out of the box. I'm a size 7 (very narrow feet and extremely high arches) and these fit just fine. They're quite comfortable! Keep in mind I wear actual corsets to steampunk/Victorian-era events, so my level of what is "comfortable" might vary from yours. Hahaha! Anyhoodle, seriously, they are quite nice to wear. In my everyday life, I'm a flats girl, so heels are a bit of stretch for me. At the end of two (different) long days wearing my gear, the only part of me that hurt was my ribcage, from the corset. My feet were fine. So the shoes are quite comfortable. However, these are not real leather (duh) and they are not going to last as the polyurethane turns brittle and starts flaking off. If I could find this type of shoe in real leather for a reasonable price, I would buy them as an investment piece. I had to knock a star off because of the durability, but otherwise, these get a solid 4/5 for comfort and wearability. I'm wearing the shoes in the photo. ... show more

  • 7 miles on the first day, theses are shockingly comfy
Size: 6 Color: Black Polyurethane
I ordered these pair weeks in advance so I could break them in. Amazon shipped the wrong size. By the time I got my refund, reordered, and received them in the mail, it was the day before my event. I walked around Texas Ren Fest on these brand new boots for 7 MILES on uneven dirt ground, my feet were totally fine by the end of the day. My husband wore running shoes and he got blisters. I usually wear 5.5. I ordered these in size 6, fit well with my Balega comfy socks. They do feel a bit snugged toward the pointy tip of the shoes but not terrible. ... show more

  • Adorable Comfortable Witchy. Adjustable leg. Fits my skinny ankle and plus size calf
Size: 9 Color: Black Polyurethane
I LOVE these shoes. I've been looking several years for a victorian inspired, witchy looking shoe. I'd love them to be real leather. But, I don't want to pay a hefty price for a shoe I'll wear 2 or 3 times a year. I don't want my ''cheaper than real leather'' shoes to look cheap either. These shoes don't look cheap. (looks like you paid twice the price) These are really cute and victorian/witchy looking. I'm older with an old ankle injury and always wear either a flat shoe or I'm barefooted. So any heel has to be stable and comfortable. I stood on my weak foot/ankle and ''wiggled'' the weight of my body on the shoe, testing for stability. It passed that test with flying colors. This shoe is very easy to walk in with a stable heel that doesn't feel like a high heel. It feels/walks like about 2" height. I do recommend adding a thin insole inside this shoe. I got a thin, cheap pair for $2 bucks to place inside. It's ok without an insole, but my other shoes have an insole and I'm spoiled. I'm also a plus sized gal with bigger calves and a skinny ankle (that is a sometimes hard to fit combo). The shoes zip up for ease in getting on/off, but also have real lacing up the front, making them adjustable from the ankle all the way up to thru the top of the calf. I loosened the top couple inches of lacing, slipped my foot inside, zipped the shoe, adjusted the laces to my ankle and calves. Now they zip on and off without further adjustment. For roughly $30 I got everything I wanted. Perfect buy! ... show more
