  • The best mic arm
Color: Black Style: Mic Arm
Literally the best mic arm money can buy. Very sturdy and is quit moves so smooth and the medal wiring covers are a sweet addition. Can move it up and down side to side can fully swivel your mic. It’s easy to use just set it up put your mic in there and boom.

  • Worth every penny
Color: Black Style: Mic Arm
100% worth the money. I was skeptical like you, wondering if I should just buy another off brand cheap mic arm and use it for 6-12 months and replace. I decided to bite the bullet and get this mic arm. ITS PHENOMENAL. all the way from the stability of it. We all know non bolted mic arms have no stability to them. Not this one. It’s rock solid. The clamp bracket is very well built and has the largest face to grab onto a desk. Makes for a very good mount and stability. The arm itself is well built and has great resistance when tightened down to your liking. All in all, it’s well worth the price tag. ... show more

  • Great Mic Arm for Desk Use in Low Position
Color: Black Style: Mic Arm
For set up where you need a mic arm, and you want it to be low, such as coming in from the back of your desk, under your monitors and forward to where you sit, this kind of mic boom arm is great. I was formerly using an inexpensive arm, and had it clamped to the side of the desk and coming in from the side. I wanted to lower this kind of arm gear out of the view of the camera used for online video communications. Also I had just gotten a Shure SM7B, which is very popular with the live streaming community. It can be used on a desk stand or on a boom dropped from above, but it works quite well in a low boom format as well. The recent version of this arm, now has a very strong set of magnets in the covers over the cable channels, and has both upper and lower holes for mic cable and connectors to pass through. This is ideal because it allows for many potential configurations. I'd rate this as vastly better than the inexpensive spring loaded scissor style arms available under $50. There are probably better products in the professional market, but for non-pro use this is absolutely fine. ... show more

  • Excellent low-profile mic arm
Color: Black Style: Mic Arm
I use this mic arm at work for video chat calls and for capturing dialogue for on-screen demo recordings. My primary criterion for this use case were 1) the ability to quickly move it in and out of position to keep my workspace clear when not in use, 2) strong fixtures that hold the microphone in place, eliminating constant readjustment, and 3) high-quality build. This arm meets them beautifully. I leave all of the joints unlocked, which means that I can instantly swing it over to join a video call. However, leaving them unlocked means that if you bump it from below, you may possibly lift one of the arms from its seating. The upper arm and ball head clamps are not the most high-quality I've ever used (the tightening motion gets a bit jerky as the pressure increases), but they hold well. The cable channels are an excellent design feature and make for a very clean look, though if you have a tough XLR cable, certain motions may cause the cable to dislodge the magnetic channels. The table clamp is fantastic — wide, padded surface area and high-quality machine screw. I'm currently using it to hold an Audix VX10, but I'm confident that it would hold a Shure SM7b, though perhaps with not as much strength as say a Rode PSA1-type of arm (due to the size of the ball head). Definitely worth the $100 I spent on it! ... show more

  • Solid and versatile arm with only one minor complaint
Color: Black Style: Mic Arm
The Elgato Wave Mic Arm (Low Profile version) is exactly what I've come to expect from Elgato products, in that everything from the manufacturing, to assembly, to use, to original packaging is extremely well made and a great product. The two-piece arm mounts via a traditional clamp assembly, and the mic mount allows for different types, sizes, and weights of mics to be used which is great if you change from a condenser to a dynamic mic. I use a Blue Yeti which is no small or light microphone, and the Elgato holds it perfectly with no sag or issue. My only complaint, which admittedly may be unique to only a small handful of people, is that I wish the arm were longer, or came with a third pivot point. The low profile aspect of being able to mount this under my monitor was exactly what I needed, and being able to move it out of the way when not in use works exactly as intended, but having one more pivot point would allow for a much more dynamic layout, or to move between a broader area of my desk. This may not be a huge need or issue for most, and it truly works exactly as intended and it works well, but I do wish there was a little more to it. ... show more

  • High quality materials, easy installation, and sleek cable management
Color: Black Style: Mic Arm
Could not be more pleased with this product. Typically "gaming" products are lackluster in their construction, materials, and performance, but this is a huge exception. Installation: Incredibly easy to install. Takes less than ~2 minutes. All you do is clamp to your desk, and drop the arm into the hole. The arm is easily installable with no instructions required. Materials: Dense, sturdy metal for the boom arm. "Twisty" knobs are plastic but feel high quality with smooth turns. The joints on the arm are very smooth, and easy to adjust while still holding their position. Performance: The range of motion is very large, and you can really cram your mic into small spaces thanks to the foldable arm joints. The microphone holds position well and does not sag or droop. The boom arm is easily swayable/movable to hide the microphone when not in use. The boom arm is also very sleek with its cable management. The only complaint I have is that the cable management magnets could be stronger. I would compare this to other professional boom arms for music production as opposed to other gaming products since this boom arm far exceeds a "gaming" product. I could not be happier with this purchase, and would recommend this to anyone looking for a clamp arm/mount for their microphone. ... show more
