I got this for a White Elephant gift exchange (I thought it was clever). I loved it so much I almost didn’t give it away. Quality of the glaze is excellent, it’s a pretty good size and the “elephant” face is lovely. I got other elephant themed gifts because this went out of stock. I bought this for a "white elephant" gift exchange (get it - it's a white elephant - lol). It is perfect for that... but really it's a nice teacup for any elephant fan; a good size, nice construction, & the bit to hold the tea bag is clever! Came very well packaged.     • Skeptical at First, But Worth It in the End
I bought this gift for a friend and was worried about the number of negative reviews and images of the mug arriving broken. When the mug arrived I skeptically opened partially believing I would have to return it but was surprised to find an intact mug with the cute teabag holder sealed so water doesn't leak out. My friend loves this ceramic mug! Although there are two small holes near the right ear of the elephant (probably from the ceramic manufacturing), all in all, I think this mug is worth the price I purchased it at ($8.94) and is a great gift for the elephant or tea-lover in your life. ... show more

I bought this as a white elephant gift last Christmas and my co-worker loved it! It has an empty space up by the head to hold your teabag. The quality of the cup is lovely. I might buy another one for personal use.

    • Cute but not fully effective for tea drinkers.
I love that the handle doesn’t get hot when I’m microwaving the water but once I put my tea bag in the holder there is still some liquid that collects in the bottom which leads to spilling on me when I tilt the cup to drink it. Otherwise it’s a great microwaveable cup and adorable to look at but the grab bag holder part of it is not ideal for holding a used tea bag. The handle is also very small so if you have larger sized hands it hard to hold. ... show more

I saw a version of this on Urban Outfitters but it was sold out and I was beyond excited to see this on Amazon! The ceramic is clean and elegant so the mug looks adorable on my shelf...like a little statuette that is decorative and functional! Other users complained about the legs but they are very sturdy and not at all wobbly. Can’t wait to use it!! ... show more

    • Great gift for my daughter
I gave this mug to my daughter as a gift. She was going through a rough time and tea calmed her. Due to her illness, she had a hard time using her hands and being able to just move the tea bag to the storage area kept me from worrying about her burning herself handing the tea bag. This was one of the last gifts I got to purchase for my daughter and it was a great one. Cleaning the tea bag area is a little difficult.
