  • Good little "go-kart"
Color: Black
I bought my knee scooter after breaking my ankle in 3 places and dislocating the bone beside the tibia and my actual ankle (moved back about an inch, ouch..) I had to have surgery and it's no weight bearing for at least 6 weeks. This little guy has stops to limit the turning radius, which is really good considering how high your center of gravity is moving around on it, especially since it seems to go over small things kinda hard. I haven't been outside with it yet since I've only had it the day before my surgery and now 2 days after and we've got a nice bit of nasty weather, which is what caused me to slip and break my ankle last week. The brakes are a little to be desired but I was thinking of getting out some 6" sticky sandpaper pads I have for my DA sander to wrap around the brake bar that rubs the wheel to stop so it's got some more friction. Aka it will improve the brakes. It will also, however, wear the back tires down a little but I'm hoping I won't need it more than the 6 weeks I'm supposed to be off my foot. It does roll really nice and easy, the pad has a pretty good amount of cushion and is comfortable and I really like the removable "mini backpack" on it vs the basket most of the others have. Really my only grips are the brakes and how unstable/wobly I feel going over the transition from the dining room to the kitchen but that's mostly because I tend to go across it diagonally instead of head on otherwise it would only feel like a bump but I have a dining room table in the way. Overall I'm happy with it and and am satisfied with my purchase. Edit: now that I've been moving around the house on this thing for a few days now I need to add some information. I have not done the sandpaper thing for the brakes. If I need to, I'm going too fast. Also my only gripe now is the rear axle for the wheels. It sticks out a bit from the wheels and I've caught my left (good) ankle with it a few times now. I'm still happy with it, though. Ps, it says no slids at high speed, lol. ... show more

  • Very solid construction. Rolls very well.
Color: Black
Easy to put together. Very solid in build. Rolls well on floors. Feel the bigger wheels in front help with smooth ride especially when going over thresholds. A week out from Achilles surgery and very happy I got this. Have “played” with crutches that other have had but this is first time I have used them for medical needs. Finding crutches are more exhausting than I had imagined—in big part to protecting my foot. I am otherwise in good physical space but this trolley is so much easier. I definitely didn’t need to get the more expensive models—but recognize features on those models may be better for outside walks. This item is very solid and I feel it will traverse moving on roads, parking lots, etc… quite well. ... show more

  • Good knee walker
Color: Black
It has good maneuverability to get you out of small areas, by making lots of little turns (takes forever). Does not fold without taking apart as far as I know. After 4 weeks, the cushion is flattening from where my knee rests. Reasonably stable, but you have to BE CAREFUL (true for any knee walker). Hitting the edge of the rug going too fast could cause you to topple. All are unstable by nature. Regardless of what you buy - consistently check the fittings, screws, etc. to make sure they're tight - they won't be just because of use. The knob under the pouch to the handlebar actually fell off and then almost fell off 3 days later. Also, it's been over 4 weeks and the tread is worn so that the scooter can move even with the break on. Check if buying used or borrowing. It's not an issue now, but it would have been at the beginning. ... show more

  • It got me around
Color: Blue
I bought this after a trimalleolar break in my right ankle and this was actually cheaper then renting. It’s a sturdy, well made little scoot. The blue paint is nice. The brakes are somewhere primative, but they work fine. The large front wheels give it a smoother ride, even over bumpy terrain. It was easy to assemble, even in my broken state. My only gripe is that the assembly for the folding handle bar can be tricky to lock in place. The saddle bag is a nice touch. Recommended. ... show more

  • Much better than crutches
Color: Black
I used my scooter a lot after foot surgery. It was so much easier than crutches and great to have my hands free. The basket was useful too. I only used mine indoors and don't know how good it would be for outdoor use since I'd be worried about it tipping. The only problem I had with mine was that the seat cover started splitting in a few spots after weeks of use. Other than that, it was great. Brakes worked well and scooter was quiet. ... show more

  • Provides freedom but has a few drawbacks
Color: Black
60 YO female just had 5th metatarsal Jones fracture surgery. Non weight bearing so a scooter is necessary as I am unable to use crutches. Love the basket to carry smaller items & side pockets work as cup holders. I put my coffee & other beverages in a travel mug with lid so they don't spill. Easy to put together. Good turning radius in my small bathroom & galley kitchen. What I dont like; brakes don't work well, knee pad is wearing out quickly, leaning to the right despite center placement, & knee is not as stable after 10 days of use, scooter is very squeaky & its hard not to wake up others in the household at night taking trips to bathroom & kitchen. Need to be careful on carpeting as it is not as stable as it is on tile. Very difficult to fold down, luckily it fits in the back of my car without having to use this feature. Caps come off the screw heads frequently so I've just left them off. Wish it had a detachable tray to carry a plate of food. Good for the price but if I end up needing this aid for any length of time I will need to upgrade. Thankful for the freedom it provides! ... show more

  • Easy To Use
Color: Black
I got this after surgery for a broken ankle. It’s very easy to get on and zoom around in the house. I have not tried it out doors. I took one star off because the knee pad crushes, and does not return to shape after a while. So my ankle feels great, but my knee hurts now.
