I don’t normally leave a review but I wanted to save someone else the trouble this motor caused me. If you’re looking for cheap electric outboard power PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE and don’t buy this one. The price point is appealing but you can get the same power with longer runtime with a Newport or Minn Kota trolling motor. I bought this unit, found no YouTube how-tos that were of any value in the setting up process and an owners Manuel that wasn’t in English. I did my research, this is not bashing Hangkai rather just this particular model. It straight up didn’t work. I changed everything I could to make it function but had no luck and I am not bad as a handyman myself. Not to mention 48 volts is a lot of power and you will find yourself spending 300$ on battery’s if you don’t have any ready to go. Please take my advice and buy a name brand trolling motor or the Hangkai 3.6hp motor and save yourself time and money. I hope this was helpful to steer you away from this product. ... show more
