The product glides on very smoothly. I was first a little annoyed at the size of the product. However, a small dab will easily apply all over your face and neck. The product has a very gelatinous texture. It feels water based. I appreciate that it absorbs quickly and there is no pilling with this product. I use it both morning and night. It is well tolerated and caused me no breakouts. This is hydrating, however I do not use it alone. I apply moisturizer on top of the product. It does not leave me feeling moisturized alone.     • Great moisturizer for dry skin
I am a retired chemistry teacher and I believe in the science of the ingredients. Vitamin C: adds tons of hydration to your skin, a big antioxidant attacking free radicals that damage skin cells and inflammation damage after UV exposure. It even improves collagen production. Hyaluronic acid plumps skin so it looks tighter and smoother. Jojoba oil fights fine lines and wrinkles and is a source of Vitamin C. Cucumber really does a lot besides giving the gel a fresh smell. It tightens pores and especially important to me it helps make dark circles under my eyes and dark spots disappear. Protein Amino Acid blends can help repair damaged skin and promote cell production. That is just a few of the ingredients! So , how does the gel feel? It absorbs readily with no grease at all, and it makes my skin feel refreshed, soft and plumped up. The smell is light, pleasant with a hint of cucumber. I have dry skin which is horrible in winter and as soon as I have applied some gel it feels hydrated and soft. I start with a toner, a serum, a spritz of rose water, the Night Shift gel, and lastly Up the Anti night cream. My skin feels and looks great! It is also a good price when you only need a little to get great results.     • Hydrating without feeling heavy or greasy
I've been using Eight Saints products for nearly two years now and, at 44 years old, my skin has never looked or felt better. I ordered the Night Shift Hydration Gel because I wanted a non-cream moisturizer for nights, and I wanted something that specifically targets aging skin. I first discovered this product in an Eight Saints discovery kit, but I decided to order the full-size jar after trying it for a few nights. (This has actually been the case with several Eight Saints products, which I now use for most of my skincare routine.) My skin tends to be combination to oily, and this gel is hydrating without being greasy and feels very light on my skin. It has a light scent that's not too overpowering, and the gel absorbs quickly once it's applied, so there's no annoying sticky residue. Sometimes I use a toner and a serum before applying this gel, but sometimes I'm lazy and omit these steps. I've found that neither of these are strictly necessary when using this product, as it works well on its own. It's great for overnight use, but the best thing about this product is the way my skin feels in the morning. After wearing this gel for 8 hours or so overnight, my skin feels so hydrated that I've forgotten to apply my daytime moisturizer on several occasions. I’m a big fan of Eight Saints and have been using their products as part of my morning routine for a while. I really liked the improvement I was seeing, so I decided my maturing skin could benefit from also using clean, high quality products at night. Enter Night Shift Hydration Gel. I love how it is both lightweight and also super moisturizing. It’s got a light and lovely scent, feels cool and refreshing, and I love that my skin isn’t greasy when I wake up. I have used a bunch of products from Eight Saints, and this is one of my favorites. It has a light cucumber scent that is fresh and subtle. The gel goes on smoothly and doesn't feel sticky or tacky. There is a slight cooling effect while the gel dries down but then my skin feels firm and very soft. The gel is absorbed quickly into the skin and feels instantly hydrated. I just love how light the product is and how it doesn't feel thick at all. I like to put it on first and then layer over it with either the Cloud whip cream or Soulmate brightening treatment from the Eight Saints line. Living in Spain this product has been amazing! The sun here is super strong and most days even though I use the hydrating sunscreen also from Eight saints, my face feels really dry after a long day, and this gel skins in fast and has a hydrating and firm effect on my skin. I love it!! I was skeptical because it is a gel and not a lotion like I'm used to, but I'm hooked now and love it!! The consistency is smooth and slides across your skin easily, has an all around firming effect on the whole face including under eye and around the forehead area, it smells like oatmeal which for me is an easy smell. The ingredients are more natural than you typical face cream which I am a bigger fan of than commercial creams which tend to be more harsh on the skin, it has helped to improve my skins overall brightness and appearance especially with wrinkles caused by dehydration and aging.
