We have a Rubbermaid 'Yard Box' we've kept our mowers in over the spring/summer seasons. And its been great for gas mowers... We just finally swapped out our last gas burner for an EGO Electric that we LOVE. So light, so easy, and so much enjoyment from not breathing in all the exhaust! We love EGO - own their blower, weedwhacker, pole-saw and trimmer as well - awesome company, amazing product! Either way, that yard box is not water-proof - as in, its notoriously opened up in stronger summer storms allowing the mower inside to get wet... not a great plan with an electric mower... therefore - wanted to get a cover for it, and preferred to purchase OEM.... the standard EGO cover is for storing it vertically - which is great, for those folks whom store it vertically - we never will. Therefore - needed a back up... this actually fits our push mower really well, and i fold the extra of the top over - towards the back of the yard box, just incase water were to get in.... only slight gripe - the zippers isn't too strong, as it likes to open by itself as i'm getting the over onto the mower.... granted - this cover was not specifically engineered for the mower, and the zipper might not open when used on the machine the cover was designed for - either way - overall - love it! ... show more

Received the scraper bar today. UPS or someone along the way mangled the box. The item package was opened at one end as if it was a returned item! The scraper bar itself is fine and shows no signs of being installed at all, and the instruction sheet and 5 bolts/nuts/washers are there. But the package was obviously previously opened. As if someone ordered this and after holding up the scraper bar to their snowblower realized they didn't have a clue about ordering the right part. No attempt to even seal the end to keep little parts inside. I was basically surprised that the item even stayed inside the shipping box from the looks of it. I didn't even need to break any tape to open the box since that was ripped already! Cannot give rating on ease of install or durability since I ordered this at the same time I ordered my Ego snowblower and it is still September with no snow to try it on until end of November at the soonest. However, I have replaced the scraper bar on another snowblower and this one looks just as easy as that one. Docked 2 stars for a returned item and damaged shipping box due to bad handling. ... show more

This is a perfect fit and pretty quick replacement process. However, this scraper bar will only last 10 clearings of a standard driveway before it again needs to again be replaced. This is a flaw in EGOs engineering. It’s quite frustrating to have a consumable like that requires multiple replacements per season if you live in a snow blessed area. It gets costly and other manufactures do not suffer from this defect. For example, Toro knows how to build snowblowers. ... show more

I've heard a lot of complaints about the EGO Snowblower and I completely understand. The scraper bars are plastic and grind down after some hard use. The front of the blower actually rests on the scraper (see photo) and you can grind down a full inch of plastic after about 2-3 months of hard use (i.e. in Minnesota). But I am so enamored with the concept of an electric blower that I just buy a couple of these scraper bars at the beginning of the season and I'm good to go. At a cost of $18, it's not too bad considering there's no cost for gas. But make sure you buy at the BEGINNING of the season. The manufacturer tends to run out of stock around halfway through the season and the price can double or even triple if you wait to order a replacement until February or March. About half way through the winter, I change it out and then again during the spring so I'm ready to go next season. This seems to fix the dragging issue (hard to push because the outer frame is dragging) and leaves a nice clean surface to the driveway. You still need to watch out for an uneven sidewalk square (it can catch and if you're not careful, push the handle into your gut unexpectedly), but it never had any problem starting, doesn't require gas and is super quiet compared to the typical gas model. I don't feel guilty starting this up at 5:30am because I know I'm not going to wake the neighbors anymore. If you just reconcile yourself to buying a couple of these as part of your seasonal maintenance, you should be fine with the EGO blower. I'm also on my third season and no issues with battery life. ... show more
