Description

America’s “sleeping prophet” offers his unique and inspirational interpretation of the greatest story ever told. In addition to his labors on behalf of the physically afflicted, the world-renowned prophet and psychic, Edgar Cayce, gave a series of 2,500 clairvoyant readings devoted to spiritual matters, with reincarnation as their central theme. This extraordinary book brings together the story of Jesus, as found scattered through Cayce’s readings, making available for the first time the challenging and thought- provoking contribution of America’s “sleeping prophet.” “...These excerpts make interesting reading and surely demonstrate the vitality of Cayce’s subconscious mind.”—Library Journal “The appeal of Mr. Furst’s book lies in the fact that he quotes at great length from the Cayce readings, and this should please the people who have been tantalized by brief quotations in other, earlier books.”—Nashville Tennessean Read more

  • One Of The Greatest Books Of All Time
I see two main themes in this book. One is how the various incarnations of Christ into our world, going back to Adam and Atlantis and up to Jesus Christ, are inter-related. This gets into some of the more mystical aspects of the crucifixion. The other is how there were two groups of people involved in the events surrounding the life of Jesus Christ. One group of people had come into the world to allow Christ to be born and fulfill his destiny. Obvious members of this first group include Mary and Joseph but there are others such as Mary Magdalene and her siblings Martha and Lazarus, Christ's siblings, the apostles, and others. Somehow these people knew it was their destiny to follow Christ. This is the only explanation for how they so readily left their previous lives behind and accepted those awesome, and in many cases fatal, responsibilities. The other group includes people who opposed Christ. Cayce said that some of these people were reincarnations of the Sons Of Belial who caused the final destruction of Atlantis. Besides those two main themes there are other fascinating insights about the people and events from the period of Christ's life and other time periods. Cayce believed he had been reincarnated together with Christ at various times over many thousands of years going back to Atlantis, Egypt, Persia, and finally Palestine. With all of the interest in crackpot books like 'The Da Vinci Code' these days people might be interested to hear what Cayce said about Mary Magdalene and other things. He said Mary Magdalene was also the woman accused of adultery who was going to be stoned to death. Cayce said there were actually two different incidents like this where Christ intervened to save a woman from this terrible fate. Interestingly Cayce said that Leonardo Da Vinci created a painting of Mary Magdalene and somehow Da Vinci knew what she really looked like and the painting is accurate. I don't think the existence of this painting was known when Cayce said this. The painting has since been discovered. Some of the things that Cayce said aren't in the bible but they match up with that time period and do not contradict the bible either. As one example he said that the conflicts created by Saul (who later became Paul) led to the deaths of Lazarus and his sister Martha. Also there was a woman who was stoned together with Stephen, the first Christian martyr. There's an interesting section about a girl named Sarah who was the daughter of the inn keeper where Joseph and Mary travelled right before that first Chistmas day. Sarah saw the Star Of Bethlehem and held the Christ child and this created a deep belief within her. She was killed by the Romans during some sort of uprising. There are many, many other fascinating insights related to the life of Christ, the bible, and other things. Towards the end of the book there's some material that I don't necessarily totally believe where people think Cayce was 'channelling' Jesus Christ directly. Cayce's powers were not infallible. Even so I consider this to be one of the greatest books of all time. I view it as a sort of appendix to the bible. • I once found myself sitting at the scene of the last super (through a very real out of body experience) and ...
What I truly appreciate about this "collection" of readings is that the author put an immense amount of effort into the collecting of these excerpts. This task was not for the faint of heart. I found myself on a quest to know more about the life of Jesus because I myself have had the ability to astral project, channel at times, and pull in much abstract information from the cosmos non-verbally. Without any real faith in religion or Jesus, I once found myself sitting at the scene of the last super (through a very real out of body experience) and was transported to this very point in time. I was able to look upon the face of this man. I remain astonished that four times now, I have seen this man, and without having any faith at all in his mission while he was here. That said, As many know, the Edgar Cayce library in Virginia is home to thousands of his readings - much of it has never been printed officially. One can't exactly "buy" all of these readings in one collection - and so, the author went on a quest to discover as many occurrences as he could where Jesus or people who have ever been associated with Jesus, were mentioned. He found that over the course of Cayce's life, various people who are in the incarnated state that once lived in those times and spent time with this great ascended master, came to Cacye looking for answers. They themselves had no idea who they were until Cayce told them. This book offers 90% readings concerning the sojourns of various clients, and their tie ups with Jesus. Many of these random people were just "exposed" to him at one point or another, and hold no particular important role from those times. You will find mostly "clues" in these collections, giving us deep insight into the man Jesus was, and the impact he had on the people of these times. Which, is enormous. There are in depth explanations/descriptions of the last supper, crucifixion, and the resurrection. You will also read in depth information about the Essenes, Mary Magdalene, the apostles, and the people who were in their lives at this time. Much was done to prepare for the coming of this man. Lastly, Edgar Cayce confirms some HUGE things I would have never thought in a million years were true - the resurrection was real - very real. Also, Jesus really was born an immaculate conception without a father. It turns out that Mary Magdalene was as well. Both were ascended masters who came to help us understand the process of ascension and consciousness evolution. My best guess is that Mary, being in the female orientation, was subjected to the laws of the time, and of course women were not regarded as being people to access "God" the same way men could. Heck, to this day they aren't. Instead, we have superficial versions of female "gurus" who go on Oprah to sell their books and call it "Sacred". The world has yet to accept the divine power of the feminine. I am only sorry that Mary wasn't able to be the true teacher she was meant to be because of sexism, likely. This book is VERY worth your time - you can trust Edgar Cayce. READ THIS! ... show more

Life Changing. If your Spirit has brought you here. get the book. As a boy raised Catholic I had a decade of rebellion in my 20's through college indoctrinated to believe what all my professor stated as fact. Never once questioning the visible facts- until I started to question these world wise. For what they told me never reflected in my after college life. Something was missing. Since my eyes have failed me and apparently many other millions of people in a better more perfect understanding of the World- i decided to close my eyes. Literally. I proclaimed, "if the answers I seek are not in the visible world then they MUST be in the UNSEEN formate (not visible to the eyes). Well; the rest for me is kinda history. I at first couldn't believe my luck in finding the Edgar Cayce material! Full of complete transcript of a man able to see into the Unseen! I figured if his transcripts have survived this long there must be evidence for a better understand of the world. What absolutely Crushed me was the fact that I was trying to find answers to questions when the ANSWER where right inside me! Raised Catholic, I thought like many young minds today that the stories and sacred parables where for the old and sick- I was completely wrong. This book not only confirmed my childhood beliefs; It helped me be a better son, friend, and brother not because it conflicted with Christianity ON THE CONTRARY it solidified the Word of CHRIST into my heart. The book at times literally recites the Word of Christ word for word scene by scene with details lost to history; regained only through faith. Stop looking. Pause and when you are ready come back to the TRUTH!!! ... show more
