Description

This waterproof/breathable, cross-seasonal trench coat is fully seam-sealed for maximum weather protection. It's also windproof, and the lightweight ripstop polyester shell has a durable, water-repellent finish that causes moisture to bead and roll off rather than soak into the fabric. A button-in insulated liner provides essential warmth when the temperature drops.

I brought this on a long trip in temps ranging from 20 to 50 degrees F. I am cold natured and am usually a whiner in the cold but I was able to walk in 20 degrees very comfortably and stayed dry from rain. I needed a scarf and gloves but my body was very warm due to the removable inner lining and wind resistance. This does have a high neck but a scarf made it easier to cover some part of the face from freezing. I removed coat indoors to walk through museums and it wasn’t too unwieldy and could be hung over my purse without too much bulk. Could not recommend this coat enough! Love the removable hood and zipper pockets. The gray is a nice neutral and the shape is pretty flattering where some coats can look frumpy or boxy. This was stylish and warm and lovely. For reference: i am 5’8, 148lbs, bought this in a Large and it fits perfect, even for my long arms, and hits 2-3 inches above my knee. ... show more

I am 5'1", 112 lbs. I bought a medium petite size (instead of small petite) based on the reviews. The coat fits me perfectly with room for a fleece jacket and long sleeve shirt under. The sleeves are a little long, but I have that problem with all the jackets and sweaters. I ran water on the coat and it is waterproof. The coat has a removable liner and I count on it to keep me warm for a trip to Ireland in September. I am a larger woman who usually wears a size 18. I ordered the XXL by looking at the size chart. The coat is beautiful, and fits like a glove....will not be able to wear bulky sweaters under it with the lining buttoned in. We are going on a cruise in the Baltic sea (8 countries-different weather) the last of September and first of October....weather might be iffy between cool and cold!...I think with the lining in, I should be ok without having to wear a heavy sweater under it....the only alteration that needs to be done is the sleeve length....for me too long by almost two inches...I am 5'5" and this coat hits me right above my ankles which will help keep my posterior dry and warm....very nice fabric.....looking forward to taking this coat on our trip.     • Perfect travel coat for a rainy, chilly vacation
I was looking for a *waterproof* trench or raincoat for an upcoming trip to a rainy European location....yet I also needed something that could be warm enough (with layers) if the temps dipped at night. This coat seems ideal. I followed the advice of some other reviewers who noted the coat ran small or was narrow in the shoulders and sized up one size from my usual size. Ordered an XL (rather than usual L), and it fits perfectly with some room to spare. I can easily wear a light wool sweater and a thermal undershirt under the lining if it gets cold. The coat is long (almost to the knees) for good coverage, but unzips at the bottom if needed for walking or sitting. There sleeves are long. The slightly fitted waist creates a gentle hourglass shape that looks sharp. I love the dark eggplant color. Got this coat for 50% off during an Eddie Bauer sale period. Haven't tested it out in the rain yet, but I'm feeling confident it will do the job and be warm and chic while doing it. The coat seems to be the perfect coat at the perfect size to meet my travel needs. Note: This is not one of those travel coats that bunches up in a little ball to stick in a bag. They raincoat is perfect for many situations. Great for a dress event or just to the park with the kids. It had a removable liner which makes it work for summer showers. With the line it will be great for cool weather in the spring or fall. Probably not so much in the freezing weather. Inside pockets and outer pockets that zip keeps your items secure.     • Fits well for large bust, quality, warm
I purchased this in black back in 2021 and came back and purchased it in the red color. I I don’t usually by petite but I purchased this in petite was pleased that I did. I am 5 foot four on a good day and usually 5 foot three, 140 pounds, slight build with large bust [32 to 34 DDD]. The sleeves are just a tad bit short when I reach but I prefer that when wearing gloves etc. Overall the petite fits me well and reduces the bulk of the jacket and gives it a fitted look without strangling my chest. Most designers do not design coats for women who actually have breasts. It’s like they think all women are designed like a 14 year old boy, cause that’s what the models look like. This coat is made for women, even if petite or with a slight build. I love the zipper that opens up at the bottom, the secret pocket, the soft pockets, and the fact that it is wipeable and washable. ... show more

    • Disappointing fit

I received this coat today, but will be returning it. The quality of the materials seems very good, the appearance is pleasing, the weight, warmth & wind resistance seem good as well. However the fit is very disappointing. I’ve always carried more weight in my hips so was concerned about that area, however the coat fit fine through the hips, it’s the chest & under arm area that is exceptionally tight. I do not have a large chest by any means & have fairly average arms. I’m not sure who this was made to fit, but unless you have very thin upper arms you’ll probably need to size up by 2 sizes. ... show more

I love this coat. The grey fabric is stylish and different. With the button-in liner in place, it is very warm. I am pretty sure it will take me into spring as I remove the liner. So glad I found it.
