Is it the best bumper on the market? Will it compete with original equipment? I don't know. What I do know is the factory original bumpers on 2001-09 Chevy GMC trucks rotted away very early in their life so these can't be much worse. Also the price paid for it delivered to my front door can't be argued with. It. Ame with all hardware needed, easy to install after I got the rotted original removed and it looks fantastic! Will it last? I'm sure it will outlive the truck but I don't have a rusted out junk looking bumper that I can actually stand on without worry of a tetanus shot or collapsing under me! As very pleased with 95% of the bumper, only thing I was not happy with was the plastic license plate light covers that were just glued in by silicone and when trying to twist in the lights broke

NOTICED RUSTING IN 2 MONTHS, 6 MONTHS LATER BACKSIDE IS COMPLETELY COVERD IN RUST SHOWING THROUGH THE CHROME PLATING ON THE OUTSIDE NOW. NO THIS TRUCK HAS NEVER SEEN SALT EVER! THE REINFORCEMENT/HITCH SUPPORT IS FLIMSY TRASH I HAD TO SANDBLAST AND PAINT MY ORIGINAL. THE TAG LIGHT COVERS BROKE OFF THE MOMENT YOU TOUCHED THEM. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY I WAS ALREADY OUT OF THE REFUND WINDOW WHEN I NOTICED THE RUST UNFORTUNATELY. Installed onto a 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD. Needed a ratchet strap to bend the bumper enough to get the brackets to align to the holes in the frame. The holes in the plastic covers on the bumper didn't align with the holes in the chrome, which should've been caught before this bumper left the manufacturer. But, for the price, it's definitely worth the install. Significantly better than the rusted out husk that used to be on this truck. ... show more

    • Fit well, but thinner than stock.
The bumper was well packaged, came with all the hardware, and installed easily. My only negative is that the bumper is made from thinner metal than my original stock bumper. I guess the price reflects the amount of metal you get.
