First off, this bumper isn't on the same level as an ARB or Buckstop bumper, but it's only about 1/10th the price of those options. The bolt-on wings aren't super sturdy, and there's no provision for mounting fog lights, either. The box that it came in was absolutely destroyed, and the powder coat had numerous deep scratches, which I touched up with spray paint. The bumper design leaves the bottom edge of the radiator exposed, so you'll need to either buy the Affordable Offroad skid plate or fabricate your own skid plate if you actually do any off-roading. With all that being said, I'm still very happy with the bumper for the sub-$250 price I paid for it. I think that it will provide enough protection from a deer strike that I'll still be able to drive away afterwards, and the winch mount looks like it should be strong enough to recover a vehicle the weight of a Ranger. I'm currently building a skid plate, and I plan on reinforcing the bolt-on bumper wings with an extra bracket that I am building that connects to the outside of the frame rail. I'll use this bracket to mount some aftermarket fog lights, too. So, as long as your expectations for a bumper in this price range are reasonable, I'd say go for it! ... show more

Nice bumper, everything bolted together quite easily, added the winch and looks good. And a lot stronger than the factory one on my '05 ranger. I painted it with a few coats of rustoleum hammerite paint, but it had pretty nice powder coating already -- no rust starting after storing it outside for about a year before getting it installed. Only big issue is that it doesn't come down far enough - - the radiator sticks out from underneath it becoming the first line of defense against snowbanks and brush and rocks and such. I bolted on some angle iron for now to lower the edge down below the radiator level so it actually protects it. It looks like it really needs to be used with a front skid plate, but I don't see a matching skid plate from this manufacturer. ... show more

I read the other reviews so I expected it to be scuffed up and needing paint touch up. With that In mind it's everything I had expected and needed, it holds my 13.5k# winch and my knockoff lp9. I've used the winch and the bumper was unphased it's plenty strong for these little trucks. I only wish it guarded the bottom of the condeser/radiator/trans lines. ... show more
