  • Quality Ecco Sandle
Size: 10-10.5 Color: Espresso/Cocoa Brown/Black Nubuck
This high quality Yucatan Ecco sandle is the absolute best sandle I have ever owned. This is my second pair after many, many years of use. The arch support is incredible -- comfortable with excellent support. Light weight. I still use my first pair around the house. Lasts forever.Pricey, but worth the price. Lots of sizes make for a great fit. This sandle will not be out of place on the trail or visiting friends. Features real leather at stress points. Tough soles. ... show more

  • Ripped in the same place on both shoes in 3 months! Stay away!!
Size: 9-9.5 Color: Tarmac/Moon Rock
These sandals look great, but ripped from normal use in 3 MONTHS!!!!!! That's fine if purchased at Walmart for $20, but I paid ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS!!! That's $33 per month!! Stay AWAY FROM ECCO SANDALS! Not worth the asking price! Amazon unwilling to warranty the sandals. VERY disappointed!

  • Love at first step
Let me start by saying that I am PICKY about my sandals. I wear them 6 days a week, year round, everywhere I go - not just in the summer, since I live in a hot area. So whatever sandal I wind up choosing needs to be very comfortable, suitable for sidewalks and offroad alike, and able to last for years with daily use. I ordered these Yucatan Brandy lux color as well as the Yucatana Bison and Yucatan II Cocoa, decided to stick with these and send the others back. For whatever reason, the Brandy lux color looks either very dark red, or dark brown, depending on the light - the picture is pretty accurate, but I was surprised how hard I had to look to see they were red. Also, this color is impossible to find in physical stores (they only ever carry black or brown), and very difficult to find on other online retailers, so thank you Amazon for having such a wide selection! First thing that jumps out at me is, the footbed between the Brandy Lux and the Bison are slightly different; there are ever-so small curve differences in the footbed, and the heel straps feel different. I can only assume that Ecco changes small details about the Yucatan sandal every so often & never mentions it. So if there's something about the sandal that rubs you the wrong way, like a curve in the footbed or a strap that rubs your foot a bit too much, try a different color, you may notice a difference. The Bison color top foot strap rubbed my foot raw, but the Brandy lux color strap is as comfortable as can be; but I like the Bison footbed more because the heel is slightly less molded, more flat, than the Brandy lux. The top foot strap on the Brandy lux is slightly longer than the Bison color, but it can be tightened more than the Bison, but the Bison has a little more velcro to work with than the Brandy lux color. All that said - these are minor quibbles. The Ecco Yucatan is the most comfortable sandal I've ever worn, and prior to this, I only wore Teva's. The footbed is harder than the Teva, but the sandal has better molding of the footbed. I like it more than Teva's flatter footbed, though I completely understand why some people would prefer the Teva - it really is pure personal preference. Previously I've tried on Rockports and Dockers, and they always have some problem - either the sandal is stingy with material and doesn't span the entire footbed, or there are size/information stickers on the side that rub the foot raw, or the gimmicky cushioned double-heel has stitching that you just can't stop noticing - there's always something irritating about them. Not so with Teva or these Ecco Yucatans - they slip on like a glove and they just feel "right" with the very first step. A good sandal shouldn't need to be broken in - if you're paying good money for it, the sandal should feel great with the first step, and after you've walked in them for an hour or more. The Teva's I've always loved, and Ecco Yucatan that I just discovered, fit this bill. They're expensive, but you're paying for comfort, and the long-lasting quality that will keep your feet comfortable for years & miles to come - you won't have pain or blisters even after walking around all day, that's what (and why) you're paying for with good footwear. When these wear out (and all sandals do after a time), these will be at the top of my list for replacements ... show more

  • Not the sandals fault.
Size: 9-9.5 Color: Tarmac/Moon Rock
I just paid and received my Ecco sandals for $93.12 (less tax) only to see them today (BUY AGAIN etc.) for $70.70 ! $22.42 is a big loss in a short time, very disappointed.

  • Comfortable, adjustable, with arch support, seem well made
Size: 9-9.5 Color: Tarmac/Moon Rock
These sandals are comfortable, look good, and seem well constructed. Arch support is good. They had better be durable for the high price (time will tell). I like the multiple adjustable straps, although the front strap doesn't really adjust anything because underneath there is a one-piece (comfortable) lining. I don't know why this color has a different Amazon page and different seller than all the other colors. The box was torn and squashed, could be due to the seller or the shipper (DHL). Luckily an outer plastic bag held it together and sandals are not breakable. ... show more

  • The other reviews are correct. This is the one to get.
Size: 9-9.5 Color: Vetiver/Wild Dove
EDIT: After a week of wear, I sized up. The extra length made longer hikes more comfortable. Previously I was getting minor irritation on my heels. I've been wearing hiking sandals for a long time, I have quite a few with different strap styles and from various brands. While the Yucatan is perhaps the most expensive model, I only had to put it on for a few seconds to realize this was "the one" as far as hiking sandals go. Now, these are not minimal. They are fairly heavy, chunky, don't have zero drop heel, or even a particularly wide toe box. If you want more minimal sandals, you'll need to look elsewhere. However, if you don't mind any of that, these are much better than the offerings from Chaco, Teva, and some of the other brands. Like other reviews have mentioned, these have a cushioned, sneaker-like feel, whereas most other hiking sandals feel more like a flip-flop. What you prefer comes down to personal preference, but with this style of hiking sandal, I much prefer the more cushioned and secure fit. These are also designed to protect (read: hide) the pinky toe, which differs from some other hiking sandals. Again, this is largely a matter of aesthetics, but this design can protect your pinky toe from injury (rocks, etc.) The main issue is they take a long time to dry. They also do not feature a Vibram sole like some other hiking sandals do. Thus, if they get wet while out on the trails, traction can be impacted and they can become a little slippery. But this is a fairly minor issue and is largely dependent on where and when you hike. Overall, there's not much more to say. These are great, and highly recommended. Many sites that review sandals have consistently ranked these as amongst the best. I suggest looking into some of the less popular colors, as they can offer some nice discounts (up to $40 off!) ... show more

  • Perfect for Flat Feet and Over-Pronation
Size: 14-14.5 Color: Marine
The old saying is "You get what your pay for" is certainly true when applied to these sandals. They are well worth the price. The comfort, fit, and support of this product is far and away the best I've experienced for a sandal. Kudos to Ecco, my new go-to for comfort and breathable footwear.
