The Ecco Helsinki shoe is closer to a square toe and makes the shoe stand out among others. For me, this is a dress shoe that screams rock ‘n’ roll, rebel, all while having to wear a dress shoe. Something different. Goes great with slim fit dress pants or black jeans! 2nd The fit: I typically wear 11 wide US, even though I don’t have wide feet. I purchased the 11–11.5 D. The shoe was plenty wide enough and, as expected, slightly long. The fact that it from Europe ( typically run narrow) this is a wider shoe. Decent arch support, VERY COMFORTABLE! 3rd, quality. Two months of use and no signs of wear. Durable leather that doesn’t scuff easily, stitching perfect and shoe does not squeak.     • Comfortable no metal dress shoes

These are good quality, comfortable dress shoes. I’ve been wearing these for several years for work where I do a lot of walking on hard surfaces. No problems with sore feet. Plenty of room in the toe area so my toes aren’t cramped, but not too big. No metal in them so I can walk right through metal detectors, and yet the shanks are still stiff enough to give proper support. I’ve had other “no metal” shoes that were comfortable, but the shanks were a bit weak and the bottoms were so soft they wore out quickly. These are holding up great. These are probably the best overall dress shoes I’ve ever owned for fit, comfort (for a dress shoe), durability, and reasonable cost. Labeled made in Portugal. ... show more

    • Great quality and comfort, sole lasts for years but make sure to actually wear them
I had another Helsinki style from 6 years ago and this is basically the smooth cap version. They break in very quickly and are extremely comfortable for the office. A light layer of Kiwi polish also makes them look very sharp, as well as protects the leather from water/moisture. They may seem expensive, but the injection molded poly sole lasts a long long time. I had my old Helsinkis for 6 years and I walk a LOT (Nikes will wear out in under 1 year for me, just being used in an office environment) and I still use the old Helsinkis for bad weather days. If I have to buy another pair of office/professional shoes, I will look to Ecco. I've also run with these (replacing the standard insole with an athletic insole) without any issues. ... show more

    • Very Comfortable shoes that I want

My previous Ecco shoes bottoms are worn out by the crack of bottom. I ordered this new shoes from Ecco. This is as comfortable as before. I am always used Ecco shoes since it is most comfortable shoes that I had worn. When I saw the picture of the sole, it looks not authentic without any print on the margin of the sole. But it was no problem and I found that the sole print is different from made in US. It is made in Portugal and I think this one is also authentic shoes. ... show more

I've been buying and wearing laced Ecco Helsinki shoes for over 20 years and they've all been sized the same and have the same comfortable toebox and consistently high quality. The shoes tend to run a bit wide, which is perfect for my feet. There is virtually no break-in period required....the shoes felt like I've had them for months after the first hour of wearing. I wear orthotics and there's enough room for them after removing the included, well padded insole. ... show more

    • Great shoe, great fit, bad laces
Size: 14-14.5 Color: Black
I like everything about this shoe. I find that Ecco shoes, size 48 EU, fit absolutely perfectly for my size 13.5 feet. Some 14's are too large, some too small, and almost all 13's are too small, but these are just right. If you find yourself having this same problem, then Ecco shoes might just fit you perfectly. For this shoe specifically, the style is very modern with the plain toe and the comfort in the leather insert was unexpected. I typically put in athletic shoe insoles, but my last two Ecco shoes have had such nice leather shoe insoles that I have not had to do this. The only problem I have with this shoe is with the laces. I can't think of a good way to say this, but I suppose they are too "slippery" in that they come undone constantly, so I will have to replace them with some laces that have a "roughness" to them that helps keep them tied. ... show more

The ECCO Helsinki is a nice understated dress shoe. Recently went on a trip to Taiwan which involved a lot of walking. The only pair of shoes I brought were the ECCO's which held up great. Very light and one can wear these all day. Wide toe box is nice for people who want a more minimalist approach in their shoes. Going to buy a pair in brown as well. FYI, size is true; I wear an 11.5 dress show and these were spot on. ... show more

I'm standing at work all day, 5 days a week, 8 hours. These are the best shoes I've ever bought. Worth every cent. I'm a pharmacist so they shoes must be suitable for business, and they certainly are. I've had 2 pairs in 10 years. The shoes last well and are extremely light and comfortable. When these wear out, I'll be buying these again. The shoes are large. I'm a 43 usually and wear a 42 in Ecco. ... show more
