  • use these for motovlogging
very good quality and fit in my helmet well, very soft to the touch so even close to my mouth to pic up the mic its ok that it tickles a bit. were a tight fit to the lapel mic though, not complaining about that at all for sure. Cuts down on the wind pretty well at 80 mph in a helmet

  • Fits Sony ECM-CS3 tight
Here are pictures of how it fits over a popular Sony ECM-CS3 microphone. The rubber band that gives the opening a stretch is pretty tight and not too elastic, but with a bit of effort it fits over the mic well, and sits very tight. Definitely won't fall off accidentally. I put the Sony ECM-CS3 with these windscreen muffs on the rear bumper of my car to capture the exhaust sound at track days, and am very happy with the results! I haven't tried using just the microphone without these muffs in the same location to be able to tell if they are making any difference, but for this price I'd rather have it on just in case. Also protects the microphone from dirt, etc. I use a zip tie around the microphone and painter's tape over the zip tie to attach the mic to the car. ... show more

  • Also works great for MUSICAL INSTRUMENT clip-on mic
My violin clip-on mic* picks up a lot of wind/breath noise making it impractical when the wind kicks up at outdoor gigs which have become more prevalent than ever in these post-COVID times... what to do? I looked up all kinds of solutions on the internet/YouTube, etc. and even considered buying an electric violin. Then I noticed furry windscreens made for video camera microphones and wondered if they made smaller ones... tadaah! This works like a charm--plus it's a 5-pack so you don't have to worry about misplacing 1 or 2, or sharing the pack with other musician friends. • These work pretty well. I have a headset I use for ...
These work pretty well. I have a headset I use for long conference calls that has a boom mic. These slipped right on replacing the foam cover that came with them. The foam cover concealed my breathing but picked up a lot of wind noise. This solved that problem. I even poked a hole in the end of one and slipped it onto my Apple Beats X and it works great on those too even though that wasn't the intended use. I wasn't expecting much because larger furry covers are normally required to eliminate wind noise but so far I'm impressed. ... show more

  • Use on Shure Headset Outside
These are perfect for what I was looking for! I am a magician and announcer who does a lot of shows outside, sometimes in high wind. This cut the wind noise down to almost nothing! I only still get some wind noise when the wind is stormlike strong. I use to use the stock foam blocker that came with the headset, but I gotta say, if you work outside with a headset you need this. One original concern I had was that it would not fit over the mic. Each cover is large enough for a headset or lavier mic and use a rubber band to hold it in place. One of my rubber bands did break upon putting it on the mic but they do give you multiple covers and I can't see having to replace these for a very long time. ... show more

  • Not that big
The description sucks on these, so it's sad that I have to go with the ramblings of other reviewers to find out the dimensions. Unfortunately, they were way too small for my application. I needed it for a boom mic that's about 1.25 inches in diameter. Other reviewers had mentioned how they were much bigger than expected and needed to be placed over a windscreen of a lav mic, so I was hoping this meant the size was large enough. Unfortunately, I was wrong. ... show more

  • Great wind deflector
These things work great with external mic on my Hero 7. Almost cuts wind noise completely out for truly usable footage without having to edit out background noises. Very good product and a good value. Would buy again except the package comes with 5 of them so I don't see myself needing to buy again for years. The one I have used is holding up very well. ... show more

  • Perfect Solution for Wind Noise
Although these look a little funky, they really cut down on the wind noise when using my lavalier or headset wireless mic attachments. I've used the foam windscreens and have not been impressed so this furry version was a nice surprise.
