  • Easy to install
Bought this to install a Starlink on the chimney and it was perfect!

  • Good Unit
Arrived on time. Getting straps to fit chimney is always a problem--just be careful to size the straps correctly the first time. Too bad they do not come with a extra strap clamp. After securing to chimney, the unit works well and holds the antenna securely. The standoff feature allowed me to mount the pole vertically (avoiding the wider top of the chimney). My pole has a larger diameter than the design diameter, but the clamps could be modified the larger diameter with little difficulty. ... show more

  • Good economical chimney mount. Better than some.
Purchased for mounting a small lightweight TV antenna and lightweight rotor. Pros: Price. Ease of initial assembly. Lightweight aluminum reduces weight for final install. Cons: Because of the construction of the flanges on the corner pole mount brackets, the strapping does not lay totally flat against the chimney brick in all places. The corner straps seem to be secure enough against the brick on the corners, but the pole mount screws in the tensioners do not let the straps lie flat against the brick. It may have been better if the manufacturer included some type of additional corner fittings to put the straps through on the other chimney corners. The mount might also be more secure if a whole strap could be tensioned equally around the 4 sides of the chimney while using more solid corner grips (with strap slides) between the strap itself and the chimney. Durability Comment: I might be a little hesitant to put anything more on the short mounted pole than a couple very light weight antennae, but that is only a gut feeling based on observation of the installed aluminum pole brackets. Installation comment : The watchword is 'caution". How easy can final assembly be for this mount be anyway ??. Positioning the lightweight straps, while on a ladder against a chimney.. making them equal while threading the tensioners ? Really. It is not for the faint of heart. Best installed while standing on a very low pitch roof.. or using two people.. preferably young. ... show more

  • Appears Sturdy
I changed my mind about mounting my antenna to my chimney, so I returned this item. It appears to be very sturdy and would have done the job.

  • Make sure this is what you need before purchase!
This didn't work for us and I found one that would for cheaper at Walmart. The return shipping was almost the cost of the brackets.

Was easy to install and worked well with an adaptor for the Starlink receiver.

  • Great for mounting antennas!
I use this mount and a piece of conduit pipe to mount a TV antenna. Mounts very securely to the chimney, no movement and holds the weight of the pipe and antenna, no sweat! Can't go wrong with the galvanized straps, either. A previous mount I had used some really shiny "stainless" straps, but they were flimsy and wore through at the bend points with a little tension on them. I highly recommend this mount for ease of installation, security of mounting, and corrosion resistance. ... show more

  • Works as advertised
install went well, would have been a bit easier with a second set of hands. Read other reviews and ; 1) measure your chimney before purchase straps are shorter as others have stated 2) definitely crimp strap right up to the tightening buckle and crimp it all down with pliers or channel locks 3) only thread nut to the buckle about 3/8-1/2" to leave you plenty of adjustment room 4) tighten all as equally as possible 5) do not over tighten it is durable but not meant to be torqued down hard 6) product description definitely states "instructions supplied for a different but similar product" 7) straps are sharp even being careful I took a small nick and bled all over everything. NOTE: I used PVC corner bead cut into short sections, notched the edge slightly to retain the straps to prevent chimney chafe. They kept the strap off the chimney and will probably slow rust as they do not sit on the brick/motor. Cannot speak to durability as it's only been up for a month. but it is functioning as designed. My use was a weather station on an 8 foot mast. ... show more
