Put it together rather quickly just make sure you read all the tips will save you time later. Very attractive when on and off. May have to anchor down if it gets breezy. Lots of warmth on a fifty degree evening. Good quality, may even buy another as we have a large patio to use.

The media could not be loaded. This thing is amazing! It was packaged up very nicely. The glass was packaged well in Styrofoam. All pieces arrived in small boxes within the large box. It came organized with some tools and all the hardware organized. It had a very clear instructions and had extra screws. It even came with a pair of white gloves so you wouldn't get fingerprints on the stainless steel during assembly. It puts off tons of warmth and is absolutely beautiful. ... show more

First of all, the assembly. You need 2 people to put this beast together. Plus, if you don't have a ton of patience (like me!) you'll get frustrated pretty quickly at 48 pages of instructions! From box to fully assembled, it took about 90 minutes, so, not horrible. Second, the description says that this unit throws heat in a 15 foot radius. It does not. You can only feel the heat if you're standing directly below it. Possibly, if it was used in a covered area, the heat throw would be better. Since you obviously want this to heat up a cold area, you better grab a blanket because this unit won't do the trick alone. I would have loved to send this back, but, let's be honest, we would have had to disassemble and repack ALL the 275 pieces precisely the way they were boxed up, carry that heavy box back off the patio, somehow fit it into the car and bring a partner to help carry it into the UPS store for return. I should have gone with the industrial, restaurant-style heater instead of purchasing something on looks alone. Rookie mistake on my part. ... show more

Installation took about an hour with two people as listed in the instructions. Instructions were very clear, and all the parts lined up as expected, making for a smooth installation process. They seem to have good quality control for all the parts. The heater is fun to watch, especially at night. At medium to high heat, you get a decent warmth from it. It's not as warm as a propane fire pit or one of the tall propane heaters with the reflective shield up top that you might see at restaurants. But it definitely warms up and takes the edge off. If you need something for really cold climates, you might want to look at other options. But it works well for our area. I really like the overall look of the heater. It's classy and also feels safe. The reflective shield on top does a good job of blocking some of the heat from rising. The top starts changing color after a couple uses due to the flames kissing it. It looks great under our gazebo. I could see it working well for restaurants with outdoor seating or personal outdoor spaces with enough room. The magnet that holds the front door closed could be a little bigger and stronger as it is tough to close sometimes. The door works well enough once you get used to it. It can take a few attempts to get the pilot light started. But if you hold it down on pilot for 30 seconds or so, it seems to light right up. Overall we are very happy with the product and would recommend it for most personal uses and especially for a restaurant/bar with outdoor seating. ... show more

This looks very pretty when itโ€™s light but provides absolutely no heat beyond almost having to hug it. It canโ€™t be returned unless itโ€™s in the original packaging, thatโ€™s on me because I expected it to do as advertised.     • A grand heater
This heater is very tall but sturdy. Assembly was not too difficult. It took my husband a little more than 20 minutes to put it together. It was a bit weird that the wire frame that surrounds the top glass is white, but once it is all together, it is hard to tell if it is white or a light gray. Put together it is a rather grand sight, standing at nearly 8 ft tall. This is nice for our tall guests, but I do feel like some of the heat is lost for those who aren't as tall. Also, when we are sitting, it definitely feels too tall. At home, we don't have a bar top, we have a regular table, so we don't get all the heat that we would hope for. ... show more
