Price plus quality equals value. That is fairly subjective. So is a judgement of beauty. I deem these worth the price and very lovely simply displayed and empty or with something decorative in them. That said, if you read the product description and look at the pictures, you will know almost exactly what you will get. What you can only know if you hold it in your hand or look at it on your shelf are things like texture, color blend, and light. These vases have a veeeeerrry slight gritty feel; rough seems way to rough a word. It feels nice and gives a matte finish that captures light with no real reflection. The look is earthy and enhances the perception that this is indeed "pottery." They seem delicate but are obviously thick enough to be sturdy. Of course, drop them and they'll break--these are not heavy pots! The pastel colors are perfect in my opinion--anyway, the colors are soft and easily blend with tones that are similar. I've put dried flowers that nearly match the color of each one and they are a lovely threesome on the mantle! ... show more

    • Not sure about the color of the “tan” one
These are perfect for about 1-3 stems of flowers - which is perfect since I like to place little vases like these all over my house to brighten up the corners, but don’t necessarily need a whole bouquet showing. I love the yellow and blue vases, but not about that tan/cream one. Something about the color is super off-putting to me. It’s not enough to return, but I’m not sure how much I’ll use that one unless I use as a set of theee in one spot (which I don’t do really, since I’m in an apartment and who has room for 3 vases all at once?). They have a nice texture to them - they’re not smooth at all - gritty - but GLASS gritty if you know what I mean (not ceramic gritty). Hey friends! I love these ceramic little vases. I was looking to add some color to my apartment which has a lot of black and dark tones overall. These worked perfectly. They are not quite matte but pretty close—just a hint of shine. The texture on the outside is rough but nice in your hands. The mouth of each vase is a little smaller than a quarter so you aren’t getting much in there. They all have a good weight to them so I plan to play with adding some things with taller stems to create levels on the table. They won’t fall over. The bottoms are pretty smooth but two of mine have tiny little chips. So I probably won’t put them directly onto my wooden table. Otherwise they will scratch my surface. No biggie as I was putting them onto a tiny little table with a cute table runner. I haven’t quite figured out what I want to put in them yet—fresh flowers, feathers, etc. I look forward to figuring that out. I definitely recommend these! ... show more

When I saw this vase set of 3 on the Amazon site I thought this set would make a great house warming gift. The set arrived nicely packaged in a box ready for gifting. I also felt this set with its muted color scheme of beige, baby blue and melon, would look nice in my guest room. The colors blend well with the overall color scheme of the room, but stand out just enough to catch the eye. The vases can accommodate fresh and faux flowers. The top opening of each vase measures about 3/4 inches. The heights of the vases are approximately 6 3/4, 6 1/2 and 5 1/2. Although this set cannot accommodate a full bouquet (15) of fresh flowers, I gave it 5 stars because it is quite nice with its different heights, shapes and colored vases. ... show more

I was impressed by the sturdiness of these ceramic vases. I wasn't expecting something as heavy-duty and it was a pleasant surprise. The exterior of these vases is a matte finish, so they have some texture to them which make them look very nice. This set of vases may be small, but they can have a mighty effect on a room. First of all, they're beautifully made with a softly matte, textured finish. The color palette, however, is the real star here. Put them in a neutral room and the ochre and aqua vases lend notes of sun and sky. Put them in a warm room and the aqua pops.
