I would recommend getting it in the silver tone without plating. I don't really care if it looks like a cz because it is but some people might. I usually don’t write reviews.. but this ring is stunning. I got this ring because I’m near the end of my pregnancy, and my fingers are swollen, so I needed a temporary ring. After ordering it, I was considering returning it once it got here because I don’t have much longer in my pregnancy, and figured maybe I could use the $30 back. Well, I messed up by trying these rings on. THEY’RE TOO PRETTY TO RETURN! I am obsessed with it and I’ll be sad when my fingers aren’t swollen anymore.. I highly recommend this ring!!! Updated: I am so happy with the silver!! I have gotten so many compliments on it and have had no issues with discoloration. I try to remember to take it off when I’m cleaning, showering, or doing dishes but sometimes I forget and I’ve noticed nothing wrong with it when I forget to remove it. High recommend the silver. I wear a 5.5 and ordered a 5.5 and it’s true to size. This is such a beautiful ring. I normally prefer gold jewelry so when I saw this available in gold I wanted it. However, after a few days, the gold started changing colors and turned into a gold color like the rings we used to get in the $0.50 machines as kids.
