It works well, just dont over sharpen. It works with regular sized lip pencils, I havent tried the other side. I like the cover, it keeps the shavings inside. The only thing is that the picture deceived me, I expected there would be 2 sharpeners and it only came with one.

Not a huge deal as this thing is super cheap. When first sharpening a pencil on the second 180° twist i heard the most catastrophic crunch. When i removed the end of the pencil i had to look inside the pencil sharpener for the pitbull that had chewed the end of my pencil off. Upon finding no dog within i then attempted two more twists. Again, a crunching noise like cookie monster eating the letter of the day startled me. Upon inspection i found the wood of the pencil neatly tapered down but with split graphite protruding 1/8th of an inch from the wooden sheath. In an attempt to shape the graphite into a point i gave the pencil a gentle quarter turn. I heard nothing, and felt no resistance. Hopeful i had defeated both the dog and cookie monster, i removed my pencil to find that indeed nothing had happened. I tried again. Unfortunately in my second attempt to shape up the graphite i heard a snap, a crackle, and finally a pop. I dont know where the wood chipper of a pencil sharpener went as i threw it with all my might in the most appropriate direction as is the way of my people... Fantastic range, clean spin, predictable arc, decent speed, vanishes from existance on impact. Would buy another. Fun to throw, horrible to sharpen pencils. ... show more
