Big fan in general of lip stains, but even if they don’t dry out your lips, they aren’t exactly moisturizing, and if you put a balm or gloss on top, then the stain wears off quickly. This ELF glossy stain is a pretty good solution, but it isn’t perfect. Pros Moisturizing Somewhat long lasting Good color selection Good price Con Transfers quite a bit Yes, it is long lasting even though it transfers. When first put on, it is glossy. No matter how long you give it for dry down though, all that gloss will come off on your cup or napkin.. If you keep drinking in that same place on your cup, you can end up with “joker mouth” and it is a stain on your skin 😬 However, once all the gloss is gone, your lips are still stained evenly. They just aren’t glossy. I bought Power Mauves and find the left over stain seems a bit brighter than it looked when it went on, but I still like the color. ... show more

i like these since sometimes i don't really like having the feeling of lipsticks on me. i got the cinnamon dreamz shade. lots of reviews said the way it stains is kind of purple and makes them look deadish or cold, but i think that comes down to undertone, and for the pretty shade i was willing to risk it for the biscuit 😋 turned out fine for me, neutral/olive tone. worn it twice already. i leave it for like 10-15 minutes (more like 20 bc i forgo the second time oops). nice color! lasts a while. i wear it with some lip liner & oil on top. however i'm docking a few points since the applicator is so frickin small... i'm gonna have to pop the thing open and use something else to get the remaining product out. the doe foot is also kind of skinny, so application is a little awkward (application was already sort of awkward since u have to be specific to keep the stain where u want it to be to not look odd...) also, the amount of product inside seems a little skimpy.. but what do i know. these are nice and i like them, but idk if i'll be running to restock when they run out. ... show more

I actually ordered a different lip stain and received this one by mistake. I decided to keep it as I liked the color and I'm glad I did. It's creamy, light, and the color is great. I wanted something a little more natural looking for everyday wear and this one does the job. The color is fairly long lasting, and I only did a touch up once. I love the way the color lasts, even after eating and drinking. As the day continued the color faded just a little bit, but still left a natural stain that I liked, and revived with a bit of lip gloss. I was looking for a cruelty free lip stain and was initially avoiding e.l.f since I haven't been impressed with their lip makeup in the past, but HOLY this is my new favorite lip stain! Super lightweight and doesn't dry out your lips, blends gorgeously with lip liner and other lip colors! It transfers easily which could be considered a downside, but it leaves behind a tint that looks even and natural so I don't actually mind. I wanted an spf lip product that wasn't a lip balm as those are too waxy for me but still moisturized. These looked like a decent option so I got 2 to try. Cinnamon dreamz and Power mauve were my random picks. The mauve is too berry for my taste and cinnamon is a brown that alone is rather bland on me. My solution, layering. The first pic is immediately after application, mauve first then cinnamon on top not blotted. The second pic is one hour later, no eating in that hour. Yes, it fades but it's still quite moisturizing and feels exactly how I prefer. Right after application it sticks to my hair and is quite annoying. Does it transfer, yes. Does it wear off after a few hours, also yes. I purchased them primarily to replace an spf product. In order for that spf to work it must be applied often regardless. The fact that it refreshes my lip color is just a bonus. ... show more

I ordered the "pinky" shade thinking that it'd be some sort of pink, mauve, or natural looking shade. It isn't!! It's a brown. I'm a natural blonde and was wanting something girly looking for when I'm out, to touch up my lip color. This is not it!! Unfortunately, putting a mauve over it doesn't help. Putting this over a mauve lipstick doesn't work either. IF it was a pink/mauve it'd be exactly what I wanted and need. However, I haven't been able to find a way to make it work. It's tiny; about 2 inches tall. The product is a good consistency, and dries down well. It's the color that makes it a waste for me. I'd planned on buying another shade or 2. However, considering how off the color is from the name and pictures, I'm not willing to waste any more money on something that I know that I can't depend on being what it says/shows it is. If you're willing to buy a color that isn't anything like the pictures, and isn't anything like it's name, this is the lip product for you. If you're not willing to venture into no man's land, you're better off skipping this product. ... show more
