It arrived today and installed today. 2000 Ford Ranger 3.LFlex V6 XLT. It was not a 30min job Inevitably you run into issues. In my case old parts rusted or corroded on that I needed a sawzall. Trying doing all this work on your back without proper clearance and I say its really difficult. Its a great sounding exhaust ad not obnoxiously load. What was particularly frustrating was the Company Dynomax. First the rebate is all this old fashion hands on rebates. Not online or electronic but copy, original receipts and cut out UPC from box. So don't forget and if you do or run into issues with install you'll probably not get your rebate by their deadline.Delivery was 2days in a sturdy long box about 35lbs. However another frustration Dynamx give you cheap clamps that broke off upon install, with an impact drill. What do you want it falling of driving down the road? Invest in better clamps and they short you a few bolts.The alternative is to weld it to the frame of truck but if you warranty issues then you have to saw it off to return to Dynomax in Florida I assume. ... show more

    • I was pleased with this exhaust system for my 2001 Ranger
I was pleased with this exhaust system for my 2001 Ranger. It is not a 30 minute job as some stated since you have to wrestle off all of the old exhaust system from the spring bolts to the rear hanger. I pulled the passenger rear wheel and jacked the rear up high for better access. I used a dewalt grinder and saw to get the old parts off and had quite a bit of trouble with the old hangers also. Once I had all of the old stuff off the new system went on pretty quickly. I noticed the truck is a little louder but not obnoxious. It definitely feels like it has more low end power and runs smoother - the old exhaust may have been constricted with rust. Overall it is worth the investment if you are willing to fight with getting the old rusty system out of the way. ... show more

Great Quality and install went well. Jut make sure the catalytic converter flange is good. If not you have to install a 2 1/4 in replacement flange on the converter side.

    • Dynomax 17317 Exhaust System
The install of the system was straight forward and uncomplicated. I might add that the first system shipped lacked the muffler, so it was returned and a replacement arrived in another four days with all necessary parts for install. Quality of the system is okay but did not like the welded on exhaust tip. The factory welding process discolored the stainless tip which distracts from the appearance. The tone of the muffler is pretty subdued. Both the fore and aft exhaust pipes had big labeling stickers attached which took considerable effort to remove. Nothing looks better than having big old crusty-brown stickers baked onto your exhaust system! If I was to do it over again, I would of paid the extra money to buy a Gibson System. ... show more

    • Ranger= perfect fit
Great fit on my Ranger. Just bolt up and go. As others mentioned, it takes longer to remove the old one than to install the new one It is a bit louder than stock, but I am getting used to the growl. I don't get any annoyed looks from pedestrians due to an overly loud exhaust so all is good I guess.

This system will not fit on a 2008 Ford ranger sport 3.0 112.6 wheel base regular cab. Even thou the specs entered say it does. So be careful when ordering any muffler system. Best bet is to go to the manufacture website put your specs in to see what model will fit . I would call the manufacture a d verify the results ... show more

Good throaty rumble yet subtle at the same time. Doesn't sound like an obnoxious jap crap fart can. Everything went together great and works perfectly. Clean setup for a very fair price. Highly recommended
