So as a kid I was severely sun burned several times. Like to the point I had to stay in a dark room for a months and a half. Which ended up damaging my skin on my face and head. Making it very, very dry. Had tried looking for something to help. Lotions didn't. Even expensive ones. Tried aloe vera. That didn't either. So, I tried A&D about 10yrs back. Amd it actually works well! I just apply some on my face and head after showering and scrubbing. And then let it sit for about 10mins. Then take a few paper towels. And pat over my face and head. Like pat drying. To get the excess A&D off my face and head. Then my skin looks softer/smoother for a few days. Then just repeat the cycle. Of course it works for rashes, tattoo's etc..But I wanted to let anyone else with really dry/damaged skin, know that A&D works wonders in helping your skin be softer, smoother and not dry/flaking. ... show more

This really is a great product! It leaves your lips so soft and smooth! For some reason my almost 4 year old has just recently started to either suck on his lips or lick them a lot while it's chilly out. Like any other product for chapped lips you have to apply it a few times, especially during the daytime. But, put it on semi thick at night and in the morning his poor little lips were just fine again. I put it everywhere lol. After my shower, with the cold weather here (I live in NW Pennsylvania) I apply it just about everywhere. My legs and feet (I put it thick on the feet then cover with socks), my elbows, and face. When I wake up in the AM my feet are definitely soft! My skin doesn't dry out like it used to. We use electric heaters and those dry out skin right out. The amount you get for the price you pay (which is very cheap) is incredible! I mean for the A & D name brand you only get two 4oz tubes for the same price as you pay for this TUB! (I don't have it on hand and don't wanna back outta my review) But I believe you get 15oz in this tub. Try it for yourself and see how great it works!!! ... show more

I was very happy to find this in a large 15 oz. tub for such a good price. The big name brand of A&D ointment charges almost $6. for 4 oz. This will last a long time!

This product protects skin, makes it feel softer without the greasy feeling. I recommend it for all body parts especially elderly or dry skin. Originally I bought this because my child is allergic to the zinc oxide in other types of diaper rash cream and I loved the A&D available as stores but wanted a more affordable option. Because it was such a large container, I started using it for things that I didn't want to use the little tube for. Now, we go through an entire jar of it every month. It works great for dry skin, cracked feet, psoriasis on elbows and knees, chapped skin/lips, to keep scratches and scraps moist to heal faster. It has so many uses! ... show more
