After unrolling it, and rolling it in the opposite direction, I was able to just lie this in the spot between the sink and the countertop. I did not use the adhesive portion because I wanted to be able to take this up and wash it or clean between that area as needed. Always kept a towel on the floor during each shower because there would undoubtedly be a very large puddle of water. This has remedied that issue and I can now shower with no water escaping the basin. Keeps the floor dry. Works very well so far without any extra adhesives. I bought this for my countertop to prevent water from spilling over from sink onto my kitchen cabinets. Cabinets had started bubbling from the water. When I 1st received the package the rubber seal Was tightly wrapped in a coil. Had to lay it on the floor overnight with books on the flat part to press the curled ends down. Next day I pulled the adhesive tape off and stuck it to the edge of counter. So far so good, stops the water. Cheaper than refacing the cabinets! ... show more

The item itself is good, the problem is the glue it has on. The item came in rolled up on a box and the entire glue detached from the the item as soon as I extend it. I tried to carefully place the glue back on and it seemed to work, but when I put it on my sink all the water went underneath defeating the purpose of it. I ended up taking it off. ... show more
