Hey gurl, Hey! Okay, so I've tried a few different kinds of “human hair dreadlocks “and all of them made me itch. Some of them even inflamed my scalp to the point that it was sore and red and I had to rinse with cold water to relieve the burning. I have a tender scalp so I was just about to give up, when I found these. The price point is reasonable and the reviews were good so I decided to try them. I’m so so glad that I did! Not only did they look amazing, they felt good with NO ITCHING, NO BURNING, NO SCALP INFLAMATION and I GET COMPLIMENTS all the time!! I feel pretty again. There I said it; these things helped me feel pretty. So here’s my cleaning/ detox routine for installing hair that isn’t your own, human or synthetic. These are human. First, I boiled them in water and vinegar for about 30 minutes. Then I shampooed them with dandruff shampoo. I repeated those steps three times. Yep, three times, but the last time, instead of using the vinegar again, I used only clear clean water to remove any residue of shampoo or vinegar. Then I towel dried them laid them flat and applied leave in conditioner. I let them dry overnight and then installed them. When I tell you that they are soft and flowing and I love them. I received this product on time , it comes with rat tail comb (parting) a crotchety needle and a couple of hair assortments. There was no odd odor but like any hair I buy, i was it first. I was so shocked how dirty the water was after the first wash. I don't know if they dye it, but the water was black. It took 2-3 washes to run clear and then I left it some conditioner and ACV overnight. It held up will with a little shedding. Horrible. Days to wash first and as soon as water touched them they began to fall apart. Small hairs also would shed with minimal handling right out of the packaging. Big waste of money. Don’t bye.
