There was a slight chemical smell, but it turned out to be from the makeup brush cleaner. After washing the brushes, the smell was gone, and not a single bristle fell out, which is amazing because I was worried about that. Quick tip: when washing brushes, only wash the bristles to avoid water loosening the glue on the handle. The makeup brush cleaner still had a strong smell afterward, but honestly, it didn’t bother me. After using the brushes, I’m even more impressed! I’m about to throw even my favorite brushes away after receiving these, the bristles are super soft, a really high end quality product honestly what else can I say, I knew off the bat Im about to work my magic with these 🤭 I was a bit bummed that I was missing 28, and received two 29s but for the price I bought these at I am not gonna complain.
