Slick looking, has a nice blue reverse side on the back of the orange side. It’s a nice size . It takes a little getting used to as far as folding it closed, and beware open it SLOWLY with both hands AND away from you as there are no instructions… it will just spring open and pop you in the lip and you will have a fat lip for a few hours … it really has a “mean sucker punch spring factor to it” 🤣🤣🤣 seriously! But it’s a great product otherwise. The MDR should put a note on the box open package with caution or something. ... show more

Lightweight, good size, easy to see (two sides: black and red). The best thing is that in when you put the landing pad down in grass, it prevents the rotors from hitting the grass blades. Very important and useful in keeping your drone in good shape. There are three stakes in case you want to stake it to ground in high wind, but that seems a little odd, since I would likely not be flying a drone in high wind. The material is exactly as described, sturdy and waterproof, obviously I'm not going to try and cut it to test, but it feels very strong. The outer ring is very sturdy. The stakes loops don't seem to be as durable as the pad, but I will never be flying my drone in high winds (ie there won't be a lot of pulling on them) so not an issue for me. That said here is some info that may be useful: The stakes are worthless in my opinion (ie will break easily), throw them away and get metal ones (or at least more durable plastic ones), I didn't knock any points off for this because 1. we are campers so have a lot of experience in this area and so I figured this would be the case when I ordered and 2. seriously, $13, if I expected more that I would be pretty naive. If you want the best visibility from a distance and are only relying on the pad, get the orange/blue one, I have the red/black one (my other accessories are red and I wanted it to match, guess it's a girlie thing 😁), which obviously just because of the colors aren't going to be as visible but I have my own reflectors (speaking of, it says it comes with 'reflective strips', uh, no, it comes with sticky strips that don't stick to anything and the reflective paper is not sticky and is not attached to the strips, so not sure what you're suppose to do with that, just don't figure on using these for visibility). It comes with ZERO instructions, so if you have not had this kind of product before, make sure you watch the video (in the item description on Amazon) on how to fold it back up or you will never get it. Lastly, this seems like a no brainer to me, but I have seen so many reviews over the years that complain about 'fraud, not as described' when it's actually exactly as described, the buyer just looked at the picture(s) and never bothered to read the description, like in the case of this pad, the pictures make it look like this thing is huge, but come on it's not going to be 10', if you buy the 30", you get the 30", which is the one I got for my DJI Air 2S and works perfectly. It gets 5 stars from me because of the quality of the pad, which is all I care about, and actually better than I expected for $13 ... show more

    • Lightweight and easy to transport - Learning to compact it for transport takes a few tries.

I had been taking along a sheet of cardboard edged with duct tape as a makeshift launch and landing pad for my drone, but the elements took a toll, especially if set on wet grass or dirt. I got this after seeing some YouTube videos and like it for several reasons: As noted, lightweight and easy to transport Has a carry bag for the folded pad and plastic stakes you can use to hold it down in windy conditions. I do find that my drone likes the clear image of the pad as it lands and find it lands more accurately with this. It keeps dirt and debris from flying around during landing, reducing impacts on the drone and camera. I have not used the pegs as yet but nice to know they are there if I need them to hold things down in breezy conditions, although am guessing they may not be too durable if the ground is rocky or hardpan. It takes a few efforts to learn how to twist the open pad and bring it down to the small "hoop" shape needed to get it into the bag. I often carry it open in the car if I am alone on the way to a shoot, but am more comfortable now with twisting it to traveling size. Overall, a good investment. ... show more
