When I first opened this I was surprised. I was expecting a full on hat, hat. This is more soft, fitting, styrofoam type material. It was flat upon opening. My first reaction was disappointment but then my husband told me to open it and fluff it up. So I did. To my surprise... It unfolded and fluffed up pretty great! It fit my head (with a wig) wonderfully. It never slipped off, I wasn't overly heated, it was very comfortable. It was perfect! A great fit to my costume! Very happy.
