    • Affordable Boots with Traction
Size: 9 Color: Black
I wanted a pair of black snow boots that were waterproof, laceless, affordable, and actually had decent traction. It can be difficult finding laceless snow boots that aren't the "water resistant" ugg style boots. But these boots meet all the requirements. I'm normally a size 9, on rare occasion 9.5. A few people said they run small but I was nervous about ordering a 10, so I ordered my regular size 9. The fit me very comfortably (no smashed toes), though if you're typically a 9.5, I'd recommend 10s. The boots are also pretty easy for me to put on and take off which makes it quick for me when changing into my scrubs and danskos for work. The boots do feel warm with the furry lining though I haven't had a chance to test them in really cold weather or snow. I will update if I find that the boots are not waterproof enough or warm enough but they do seem to be of pretty decent quality, especially considering the price (got mine on sale for $32). The traction on these boots looks pretty good. A lot of boots I looked through before picking these had almost nonexistent traction. Hoping these will keep me from falling on neighbors unshoveled sidewalks. Overall I'm really happy with my purchase but I do have two really small complaints. First, they don't have much in terms of arch support. If I was wearing these for more than my short commutes to work and back, I don't think these would work for me. My other slight con for these boots is that they're not really attractive. I go more for function than style especially with snow boots so its not a deal breaker, I just wouldn't call them stylish. But for the incredibly affordable price I really don't think you can go wrong with these snow boots. ... show more

    • Amazing Rugged Outsole

I purchased these boots for 2 reasons: The amazing rugged outsole that doesn't curve upwards around the heel, creating instability, and the easy lightweight slip-on feature. I wear them exclusively to walk to my mailbox down my long gravel driveway that is often treacherous with ice and snow in winter. The boots work well for that trek and feel like walking on winter snow tires! Since these boots do not come in half sizes, they are not of the highest quality nor are the soles supportive. I have narrow size 7 feet so they work fine for me. There is zero arch support, the insoles are not removeable without tearing them and they do run narrow so I would not recommend them for hiking or active winter use. I wear other high quality boots for winter activities for comfort, warmth and waterproof features. The sale price made these boots a good purchase for my intended use. I may spray the uppers with additional waterproofing as some reviewers have commented that the boots are merely water resistant, not waterproof. Overall, a good purchase. ... show more

I really love these boots, they are definitely warm and waterproof. I live in a western suburb of Chicago, we have rough winters, so it was very important for me to get good boots. Fortunately they were also on sale at the time!. The day after they arrived, we had our first snowfall! My only complaint is they had these nylon cords, that were totally useless and unecessary, I had to cut them off because these boots do fit snug! I wear a 7 and really should have gotten a 7.5 ir even an 8.Couldn't get them on with heavy socks, took forever to get them off. I have finally broke them in, but they are still pretty snug, which dies help with keeping my feet warm and waterproof. ... show more

First off I didn't buy these for the "fashion" aspect. I bought them to wear around my large property during the colder months. I've worn them on and off for the last month and have some distinct thoughts. Pros: Good traction Keep your feet warm unless they're in snow Water resistant for the most part Con: Today was the first time I walked in snow. The left boot leaks underneath the toe area. The interior faux fur feels so good when they're brand new. However it takes no time whatsoever for the "fur" to smash down. Consequently my feet have no layer of comfort on the bottom. It's as if I'm walking on the top of the sole of the boot. Very disappointing. Now I'll have to look for an insert to provide that much needed layer. I literally spent over an hour on and off researching all types of boots and unfortunately tried to keep the cost down. All in all if I had to do it over again knowing what I know now, I would not have bought these boots. In the future it will be worth the extra $$ to get much better boots.
