  • Easy to work with. Great results!
Size: 2 Gallon
I have worked with a few different brands of epoxy resin for river tables, and so far this is my favorite (and a reasonable price as well)! It was easy to work with as both poured very nicely. I also appreciated how deep of a pour I was allowed to do. The included mixing utensils are a nice added bonus as well. Now to see how it holds up in the long run. ... show more

  • Good product and would buy again
Size: 2 Gallon
I got my project idea from searches and watching videos, so I have never used this product before or any epoxy product before. product came with easy to follow directions I emailed the company asking a question about my project and received a response by next day I like how with this product you also get measuring cups (must have), mixing spoons (must have) and smoothing tools (nice to have, but didn't use). All these are needed tools, so it was nice to get everything with one purchase opposed to having to buy all separate. I did steal a spatula from kitchen and an old water pitcher. nobody has noticed that they are missing yet. I used one measuring cup for resin and the second for hardener and same with mixing spoons. once I filled measuring cups I dumped into my old watcher pitcher and used spatula to mix. I was a little nervous to use this as I've only watched other people online (all different products), but I finally decided to go for it and mixed my first batch. the directions said to mix for 3 minutes, but I think I mixed a little longer to make sure everything was mixed. when the mixture ran clear I felt it was good to go. I don't know if I did everything correctly, but my project turned out good. I made a coffee table that is 32'' X 42''. I poured first mixture in the middle and watched it spread out. I realized I was going to need a lot more, so I made a double batch and again I made sure everything was mixed extremely well. Once I felt it was mixed I started second pour where I could see the first pour ended. it definitely self levels. I watched to match sure it ran into the corners which it did, so I went to opposite corner and continued the second pour. for third pour I used a single batch again and again mixed well. I started third pour in the spots not covered. My goal was for the epoxy to be level with the wooden coffee table edges and they seemed to be. After mixing each of the three batches the mixture ran clean, but seemed to have a lot of air bubbles. Once I completed all 3 pours most of the air bubbles were gone, but there were several I could see, so I used a heat gun to get rid of them. Just to make sure I went over entire area. my project was very level which may be why I did not need to use the smoothing tools, and as I previously mentioned, the product really self levels. Is my project perfect? No. I missed a couple air bubbles, but you only see them if you are looking for them. Most people won't even notice. Is my project perfectly level between epoxy and wooden edges. No, but the difference is minimal and again most people won't even notice. bottom line...its a good product that was fun to see it come together and if I was going to do another project like this or recommend a product to someone else i would recommend this product. ... show more

  • Good price, great product, and many satisfied customers.
Size: 2 Gallon
Dr. Crafty is the only resin I currently use. If you get the 2 gallon set, you get an incredible deal on very high quality resin. One thing that I do notice is that it takes a lot longer for this resin to cure compared to other brands. The positive about this is that you’ll have less bubbles and a little more work time. Some people have suggested to let the resin sit in a cup for a little longer (in a way to speed up curing by almost flash curing it) before pouring to shorten cure time, but I’ve not tried this as I have no problem with the long cure time. Your resin will be a bit bendy (especially thinner pieces and especially those with alcohol ink) for a couple days. I measure my resin out and then mix for 5 mins (I listen to two songs as a “timer”) and have never encountered problems with curing. That’s been my “go to” mixing method. This resin doesn’t have a strong chemical smell but I still use gloves and proper PPE. I put my items in air right Rubbermaid containers to cure and the next day when I check on them, the smell is quite strong, so there are definitely vapors released while they are curing. So please make sure to be safe while using this or any other resin. The company also covers these bottles entirely with thick plastic to ensure they don’t leak during shipment anymore. I did have problems with this with two batches, but the company listened and came up with a perfect solution. With each order you’ll receive two large measuring cups, two large mixing sticks, a scraper, and an offer to get free pigments. I love and use the measuring cups and mixing sticks frequently. I’ve also redeemed the pigment offer and received a box full of very high quality pigments. So definitely follow redemption instructions as the pigments are awesome! Included are a few of my many resin creations. I’ve sold several trays and rune sets on my Etsy store (Rubywitchdesigns) and have had great feedback from clients who are very satisfied with what they bought made from this brand. I’ll continue to love and use Dr. Crafty. 🥰 ... show more

  • Very pleased
Size: 2 Gallon
As a beginner I have nothing to compare it to. I would give it a 5/5 but since I don’t have experience with anything else it’ll receive a 4/5. I really liked how well the resin parts mixed! It only took a few moments to mix larger batches. It’s super clear and it’s absolutely amazing. It can be a bit messy since it’s in such large containers but if you want you could always transfer the parts to smaller containers. It was quite simple to use and although the wait time was a bit longer than I’d hoped it still turned out amazing. It’s pretty good for beginning resin users. Just make sure you do exactly 1:1 and stir properly because if not it most likely will not properly set. Overall though, I was and am very pleased! ... show more
