Not squishy so that you are actually right down to the chair but not too dense so that they might feel hard and uncomfortable. I’m happy because these were a pretty good (tho not perfect) fit for our vintage Homecrest patio chairs! They arrived squished flat in a vacuum pack but did in fact fluff up quickly with no noticeable off-gassing or smell. They’re comfortable and the color is bright, and material feels durable enough. The thick memory foam is so comfortable!! For the last two years I had cuishions that were as thick but not memory foam and gave no support at all. It felt just like sitting on the metal rungs on the chair. These are great! Wish I’d had them 2 years ago. I also like all the color and pattern choices
