I have never used this type product, so had to make sure to read the instructions. To install they suggest your average everyday iron to heat the "glue" on the back so it will stick. I needed to put it in a rather hard to get to area for an iron, but was able to get it to work. It only takes seconds for the glue to melt enough to stick into place. Once in, it looks fabulous! I’m a professional woodworker and furniture maker. I use edge banding for all sorts of plywood applications. I needed some birch edge banding for 3/4” birch ply for drawers. This product has a bit more glue than standard edge banding. Which makes for solid adhesion to the ply. It is machined perfect for the 3/4” ply and did not require any shaving, just finish sanding to bind the edges. There’s quite a few splices and they seem to throw splinters very easily. Extremely thin veneer. If you’re making something upscale I’d suggest using a better quality.

I am a professional carpenter. I ran out of my regular veneer and ordered this in a pinch. These are the missing glue spots over a 4 foot strip. There is about one empty spot every foot on the roll i ordered. I needed to apply a light coating of wood glue in the missing areas to compensate for this. This also resulted in a lot of over melt one to the piece, which means a lot of sand paper changes. For hobbyists doing a single piece with the time to fix it, this is fine. For pros on a time schedule and beed repeatability , this is unacceptable. I won’t be ordering this again. ... show more
