I did not want to deal with the glass jars getting broke in shipping, so when I saw this in the more durable container, it was an even better deal. Of course, I can't say enough about the coffee. As far as I am concerned, it is the next best thing to brewed coffee.

Kinda pissed. Columbia coffee crop is frozen, so i popped $60 bucks a can for quality freeze dried instant coffee in a sealed #10 looking can that can sit on a shelf for years until needed and still be fresh. The "can" is cardboard on the sides with a metal rim to hold the lid, and a metal bottom. Definitely not a long term storage item. Try the Bustelo in glass jars. I will have to repackage this myself into mylar vacuum bags to keep it fresh. Taste is a little better that "Taster's Choice" which comes in a glass jar and mylar seal on top. Freshness date of 2 years is probably accurate, but I would not trust it in 10 years. ... show more

I did not realize that freeze dried coffee was instant coffee. I gifted this to a neighbor who prefers instant coffee.

Unbelievable flavor and rich aroma. I've been drinking D&E since I was introduced to it years ago by a cousin in Holland.

The taste is smooth and bold and satisfying. The aroma is addictive. The only coffee that comes close in taste is the Douwe Egberts coffee beans that you grind and brew.

    • It's what they serve in our Executive Briefing Room at the office.
We consistently get asked for the coffee brand name. Also since I tasted it, it is the only coffee which I stock in my house. Well worth the extra money for real quality coffee.
