I am really enjoying these water shoes. They are the most comfortable and have very reasonable support for being a shoe for swimming, kayaking, paddleboard, and other water related activities. These shoes really worked super nice for the beach. They were surprisingly easy to put on and take off. The design allows sand and water to drain/dumped out or rinsed off. The design of the shoes are great, but produce a couple of negative attributes. When walking in fine powdery sand, the shoes did eventually accumulate sand and had to be dumped out after walking aways. Sometimes small rocks would get stuck in the small holes and would have to be removed. This is how the shoes are designed, but that makes them great. These shoes do rinse off with ease and small rocks were easily removed. They dry fast! I rated these shoes a 5 star because they work great are surprisingly sturdy. These shoes sort of did the job on a recent beach vacation. They are reasonably comfortable when dry and in the water, and provided good coverage and some support. They stayed on without issue. They are certainly breathable and drain most water quickly, with the dual-layer mesh upper and perforations in the sole. There is a thin insole that has an even surface for the foot to actually ride on. Not so great: sand was easily trapped in the gaps of the mesh upper and under the insole, and even after thorough rinsing at beach foot wash stations, more sand would continue to come loose, making them a bit uncomfortable to walk in. Also, as shown in the picture, the pull tabs came off of the laces on one shoe on the first use. Other notes: I normally wear size 8.5-9, but the size 8 is what worked for me with these. Also, they were delivered in a compact shrink-wrapped package, which was fine, but upon opening they emitted a very strong distinct smell of lower-quality Chinese plastic; after airing out and using them, the smell was no longer noticed. Overall, they were OK, and rather than the $28 I paid, they were probably worth about $15 given the so-so quality and functionality. Had I not received these right before I needed to leave for my trip, I might have gotten something else to use. ... show more

I regretted not having water shoes on previous cruises to the islands and at the beach house but always made due with flip-flop type sandals (the brand with the bottle opener in the soles) so I kept putting off getting actual water shoes until I saw a friend wearing these and he Saud his were about 5 years old and still looked great. So, I bought these yesterday and they came today for our departure on a Royal Caribbean ship to Bermuda tomorrow. Absolutely perfect timing since I forgot until the last minute so the overnight delivery came in clutch!! I adjusted the stretch laces and they're snug enough that I feel confident they'll not get "washed" of when walking or even swimming even though they're slightly longer than regular shoes & sneakers l. I'm a US men's size 10 and if I bought them where I could have tried them on first probably would have gone with a 9.5. But your feet swell during cruises *most* of the time so maybe the slightly over 1/4 inch of extra space in the toes will actually be a comfort saver if that happens as usual and they still feel good, don't slide up and down when I walk so... I'll update after my 6 day getaway where I'll be wearing them a lot. I think I'll be just as happy by the end if the trip as I am now though based on my friend's experience and how they feel during my "dry run". ... show more
