I have astro turf on a patio which is irregularly shaped, so I had to cut triangles to make a full-appearing patch. Now that it's fall and I'm blowing leaves off of it, the triangle astroturf pieces blow up every single time. I got this tape to solve that problem. Here's the 'catch 22'. If the adhesion is too intense, you'll never be able to work with it. It would stick to your fingers like super glue. If the adhesion is too weak, what's the point, right? The manufacturer found the right "stickiness." It is tough, but it will (with force) peel off your fingers without taking skin with it. That said, when I applied it to the back of two pieces of astro turf which has a ridged and irregular backing, I could peel it back off after adhering it. So, I left it alone (after stomping it down) and came back 30 minutes later and the adhesion had "taken" better and the bond was strong. The test was the cordless leave blower. I turned it on full force and all pieces stayed down! Success!! It also wouldn't "come apart" with walking or the kids dancing around on it. Yay! When you unroll it, one side is immediately sticky. If you fold a piece unintentionally back on itself, it's over. You're throwing that away as nobody could possibly unstick it. So, be careful. Have a sharp pair of scissors. Once you make a cut, you can tear it the rest of the way, but it will tear unevenly. Then you have to peel the other side. You need good eyes or glasses and patience galore to get that clear plastic backing to unstick a corner from that strong adhesion. I even had the kids try to get a starter peel but in the end we had the same skill. Not impossible mind you but it takes a minute or two. Overall, the product is 5 stars. The tape is wide as in around 4+". Overcoming the lack of skills needed (like one would have if they were a carpet layer by profession) is a 3.5 to 4 stars although that varies by person. If you have arthritic hands, it will be tougher. You may need a second person to hold the length of tape while you make the cut especially if you are doing a long strip of tape to keep it clean and off of unintended surfaces. I recommend this tape if you have astro turf sections. Oh, for a long length of turf I only used a 5" tape strip. I didn't have the skill set to do the whole 3 ft length! The patch worked beautifully to keep the pieces together for leaf blowing or high winds. Two thumbs up! ... show more

With 9 of us in total plus friends and family our small rugs get a lot of wear, and they were constantly needing to get adjusted due to kids sliding through the house, now they don't go anywhere. With tile floors I can't screw the rugs down, but after 2 months of using this they are still firmly in place. I've tried other adhesive products on the rugs with no luck until this product. I ordered the “ARRYNTHEON Double-Sided Artificial Grass Tape (6inx16ft) Synthetic Artificial Grass Tape” to review and to use to install some low-end indoor/outdoor carpet in a garage stair landing area. I’ve never done anything like this before but watched a few videos on general wall-to-wall carpet installation and maintenance a while back. I love that the tape was easy to work with. I even modified it by cutting it in half while still on the roll (see uploaded pics of this and the project) since I was not using it to adhere two pieces of carpet together but just stick carpet to a floor. This allowed me to stretch the usage amount. It is absolutely very sticky and I had to be very careful and calculated while installing the carpet. I also like that it applied very easily, was easy to fit where I needed it, and was easy to get the top protector film off during the final install. Use case: I have a “real” wooden staircase that is in a non air conditioned attached garage that leads up to a 4th bedroom and a walk-in attic entrance. The builder left it unfinished so I recently put grip tape strips on the steps but wanted some type of carpet on the upper landing which was bare OSB. I saw that this tape came in a double-sided version so I gave it a try. I didn’t need 6 inch wide pieces and needed more than 16 ft in length. I used a utility knife to just cut it in half on the roll giving me 32 ft of 3 inch wide tape. I cleaned up the surface and applied the first batch of tape around the perimeter and then 3 strips front-to-back down the middle and another along the face of the lip of the landing (again, see the uploaded pics). I then cut the carpet just oversized so it overlapped the edges, laid it over the landing, and applied the back edge by starting in the middle and working to the sides then slowly moving forward about a foot at a time still from center to sides while stretching the carpet before sticking it to the tape. Working in stages was possible by cutting the protector strips about every foot and only peeling off a foot at a time where I was working and then stretching and sticking. After most of it was stuck, I returned to the back and used a fresh utility knife to trim off the excess carpet around any contours and stuck down the remaining edges. I finished up all the way around the lip and I think it turned out great thanks to this tape which exceeded my expectations therefore I highly recommend it. Explaining my rating system: 5 – Exceeded Expectations – Highly recommend product. 4 – Average to Above Average – At least what you would expect based on the Product Page. Maybe a bit more. A solid product. Recommended. 3 – Average to Below Average – A bit less than what you would expect based on the Product Page. Left feeling somewhat disappointed. Maybe you’ll feel differently but I cannot fully stand behind the product. 2 – Below Average – Incorrect, missing, or misleading information on the product page. This tape is good to affix artificial grass to a hard, clean surface. It keeps the turf from coming separated from the connected piece and keeps the whole unit from sliding on a slippery surface. It's 16 feet long, so if you have a large project, it may take more than 1 role. The tape is sturdy and not prone to tearing. The adhesive is good IF you start with a clean surface. We're using this to hold together some artificial grass for our patio area, and it is doing a great job. It's sticky and not super easy to work with, but we got it done. This stuff is tough, so I'm sure it will last. We didn't need it to stick the grass in place, but to bond two pieces together.
