Across the body handbag works way better for me as I have neuropathy in my left leg and use a cane at all times. With my osteoporosis and the neuropathy I know have a free hand to grab on to things if I need to. I tried backpack but it was hard to get both straps up so it would always slip at the wrong time. I liked that this purse is just as cute as the picture and the interior is a silky beautiful gold &brown pattern. It reminds me of the colors of India. However, what I didn't like was that it was smaller than what I was hoping for. To me it would have been perfect if it was a bit larger inside. I carry a lot in my purse. But if you're looking for a small to medium size interior, then this purse is a 10. I still use it though, for quick trips to the store instead of my regular purse. I don't typically carry much in a purse (wallet, keys, travel brush, and chapstick) and this is a perfect bag for that purpose. I still have plenty of room if I need to carry more things for different occasions and is lightweight. I've gotten several compliments on this purse!
