I ended up piecing together my own hardware kit with 10.8 grade hex bolts 1/2" longer to accommodate 10.8 grade spacers to gap heat shield from manifold. I feel it's a more durable design than OEM. 5 star because we're exact match of original hardware, plus 1/4 price of local auto part stores' kits.   • Cheaper alternative for all 8 bolts for 4.7L 2001 Dakota
Worked on 2001 Dodge Dakota 4.7L but be aware that the washers are not included in this kit. The correct kit includes the thick black washers but only comes with 4 bolts per kit and is much more expensive. I picked up a used "like new" kit with all 8 bolts for ~13 bucks and bought my own washers. It would have cost me ~ $80 for the other 2 kits to get 8 bolts at the local parts store. (~$60 on Amazon.) Note: The washers from the original bolts are too small to remove from the old bolts. Can't get them past the threads. 2 of my bolts were broken on the passenger side nearest the O2 sensor. All ok now after replacing the gasket. Also, to make life easier, use a punch in the center of the retainer plugs on the wheel well shroud. They are a pain to remove otherwise. Probly want to pick up some spares as I couldn't get all of them to fit snugly on re-install. Lastly, spray everything with PW blaster to free up rusted bolts before you attempt to disassemble everything. I'm in CA and mine was rusted pretty bad. Good luck... ... show more

  • these fit 4.7L V8
I read the Amazon reviews and one person said this Dorman kit #03218 would fit the 4.7 V8 in the Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ. So, I ordered a set for each bank, as I am rebuilding my 4.7 and now is the time to install new exhaust bolts. Also, I Googled exhaust bolts for a WJ V8 and got a kit from Dorman kit #03425 (TWO exhaust bolts in kit for $33.99), three kits preside times left bank and right bank, at $33.99 X 6 = $203.94. Also got a response for the Mopar set per side $59.99 X 2= $119.98. This Dorman kit (at $17.30 for all six bolts X 2 banks = $34.60. Received the kits and on the back of the Dorman packaging, it states, --“Application, Chrysler Truck 4.7L”. I checked length and threads count with the factory ones removed and it is the same.   • Factory Bolts Make The Job Easy
Purchased a set to do the drivers side of my wifes 2006 Dodge Durango 4.7l. It had an exhaust leak when cold, but went away as it warmed up. Knowing I had to do this on the passenger side exhaust manifold about 4 years prior, I ordered a set of these and they worked perfectly.   • Fix your 4.7L exhaust leak!
These worked great for my Jeep with the 4.7L that had two broken studs on the rear of the driver's side manifold, causing a loud tick that subsided as the engine heated up. They required one size larger socket than the factory parts, so I'm hoping they are a bit more robust (even though they failed at the shaft anyway). The driver's side on a WK Jeep is a PITA with the steering components in the way; there were a few bolts that had to be removed/installed by feel as I couldn't see them. The passenger side is a relative cakewalk compared to that. Everything needs to be removed on both sides (wheel wells, battery/tray, fuse boxes/mounts, airbox, coolant reservoir, etc.) and various lengths of short/deep well sockets and a universal socket helped. These already have red threadlocker on the studs, you can add it to the bolts if you feel it's necessary, but I wouldn't put it on the nuts since they just hold on the heatshield. I also used a graphite/steel composite gasket (the factory only used graphite) purchased elsewhere. ... show more
