Light strength: This light is REALLY strong. Be careful not to burn your plant babies. Keep the light further away until you see signs that it needs more light. I burned one of my bird of paradise’s leaves on accident. Timer: No timer function which sucks but I have it hooked up to an Alexa plug so I can have it on a timer (you’re welcome Amazon) Mounting: Multiple mounting options offered but not all are safe. This is a heavy grow light. My husband saw the result of me trying the method with no drilling. It was so wobbly so he took it down right away and screwed it lol.     • Great grow light for indoor plants!
My orchids love these lights. I grow mainly phalaenopsis and oncidium hybrids and use these lights for display in our living areas when the plants are flowering. These lights are easy to assemble, sturdy, and have a very simple look that does not distract or detract from the flowers or the home decor. Even my wife agrees these are unobjectionable and really accentuate the plants well. The balanced daylight spectrum (including red spectrum LEDs) really make the flower colors pop, while the pole stand is simple, inobtrusive, and solid. The way these can be adjusted in height by adding or taking off simple aluminum tubes does mean a little extra work when you need to change the height, but the screwed-in connections are totally solid and present no extra fittings to distract from either the plant or the room decorations. These are the most adjustable floor lights I have found in terms of height -- some of my larger plants put out really tall inflorescence (flower spikes); these are the only lights I've found that can be adjusted high enough to position the light above flowers while the plant is sitting on tables or display stands. For many orchids, this is important because the flowers need direct light as much as does the plant itself. (Without direct light on the flower itself, most orchid flowers will wither and drop.) Finally: My plants are all responding really well to these lights: The flowers turn toward the light and stay on the plants longer than expected. Most orchids under these lights have also put out new inflorescence and leaves while they were being displayed throughout the house; I didn't expect the plants to actually thrive while they were being displayed, since the indoor environment is otherwise not at all ideal for orchids -- that is all down to these lights. I have now bought several of these and been using them for several months -- they all work the same; I've noticed no quality differences between units and no reduction in function over time.     • There is no timer
I purchased this light based on the fact that in all of the reviews it/people state that there is a timer. There. Is. No. Timer. Other than that the light has come in handy being that winter is here and my plants can not bath in the sun. I still wish there was a timer and had I had known that, I would not have purchased this light. I will keep it since my plants need a this light. I do need a second one, this was the 'tester'. I will not order this one again. I will continue my search for a light that has a timer. Again, if you are reading this, this light that I purchased does not have a timer. ... show more

THIS FLOOR LAMP IS AMAZING!!!! Ive been trying to grow a cherry tree and i live up in Montana where we don’t get much sunshine in the winter and OH MY GOD it made my plant grow probably an inch, unfortunately a kid and cat got into the pot so i stored my light away till i have more room for what i want but it doesn’t over heat the plant, its has a switch which is super cool! I didn’t use it mostly because i had it plugged into a smart home plugin, but i really love this, assembly was extremely easy, idk if its sturdiness is 5 stars but it would be 4.5 it is a little thinner than i thought it would look but in a way its a pleasant thin, like you have more room than you would probably expect, I’m excited to use it again and i MIGHT just purchase another ;) ... show more

I put this lamp in the garage so I would remember to turn it on my plants while I walked out the door every morning. LOL, then I remember it had a timer, so now I can find a place in the house for it. Lokng forward to growing my herbs!!

We have to bring a few of our plants in the garage over Winter because of our location, this year we decided to get one of these lights and see if it made a difference....it really did. Usually by this time of year they would have lost their leaves being in our garage, but this year (it's Jan) they have not only not lost their leaves but the Hibiscus is actually blooming. We should have gotten this years ago. Now when we put them out in Spring we don't have to wait for them to get leaves again, already have a jump start so to say. First off, there is no timer. I bought the WiFi plugs for that separately and love them. The light is very bright and gives off a good spectrum of colors. I got it for my philodendron that sits farthest from the window in a corner. It really perked up after just one use of 8 hours overnight. Got a second light for a large planter of succulents and they love it too. They are super simple to assemble and are very sleek. They don’t stand out when not in use. I just have the timer plugs set to go on while sleeping and it works great. ... show more

I (separately) bought two off these lights within three months of each other...i was so impressed with the first one, after noticing how much it helped my stretched out succulents, that i ordered a second light. The problem is after installing and turning on the new light, i noticed how much the"older" LEDs had dimmed down over such a short period of time...Its a HUGE difference! The new light has a very strong brightness, and the 3 month old light produces about half the brightness as the new one(or less)! These lights do make a huge difference to indoor plants, for sure...and are extremely convenient, but if the degradation of the diodes in these guys are anything like im experiencing, they'd have to be replaced a few times a year... I was really happy at first, but I'm kinda disappointed overall now In the picture you can see difference in the newer light on the left, and the 3 month old light on the right ... show more
