My Domax wine rack arrived today. I needed extra storage, specifically for Champagne bottles in my cellar. I checked the measurements carefully, knowing the rack was intended for standard wine bottles, not 'fatter' Champagne bottles. It was easy to assemble without any tools or additional hardware. The only minor issue was the joining tab on one of the crossmembers broke during assembly. Fortunately it is solid wood, not a cheap fiberboard, MDF, or a composite wood product. I was easily able to use some wood glue and clamps and I expect it to be better than new once cured, minus possible a visible line where it split. With regard to larger bottles such as Champagne, Syrah and Pinot bottles, I was able to stack 8 bottles on a rack intended for 9. To me that was a fair compromise knowing this rack was designed for standard 3" wine bottles. I met my needs well, and I thought was a good value for the price. While no tools or hardware are required for assembly, I did use a rubber mallet to fully secure each layer into its respective notch. If one desired even greater structural integrity, and did not ever anticipate the need to disassemble, one could easily use some quality adhesive or polyurethane glue to permanently join each notch as it is assembled. ... show more

The design of the rack surprised me with its solidity. Made of fine bamboo, the color is smooth black. So it doesn’t look out of place to use in different areas like my kitchen, bar, pantry, and basement. The stacking design is a game-changer for me as it allows me to make the most of the vertical space while also giving me the ability to add more items to my collection. The rack was easy to assemble as clear instructions were given, and all necessary hardware was included in the package. I bought two of these and they arrived last night. Today, I assembled both and organized my wine. First of all, assembly was extremely easy and fast. I was impressed with how well the material was engineered. The pieces fit together perfectly. I would say that it’s best to sit the box flat in your garage, open it up, and then carry the pieces inside. The pieces are well protected, but the packing material can make a mess if you aren’t careful. I am very satisfied with my purchase. The wine racks are sturdy and look great.
