Ordered and it was delivered at 5 a.m. THE NEXT MORNING! Wow! Price was wonderfully low so I expected less than I received. It was in a small box so I initially thought negatively. As I opened the box I was amazed that the product came in a storage ‘case’…all folded up. Instructions were clear and I had my kitten living in high cotton quickly. Three zippered openings; one on each long side and one on top. The top opening is good for reaching for the kitty without causing them alarm. A water resistant ‘floor’ and two top-mounted handles were also nice surprises. Add storage pouches on the outside and you have a wonderful, lightweight, solidly built, easily stored place for a small pet whether in your home or out and about. I love this! It’s smaller than those octagon style popups but fits better in my space and is much more sturdy. Currently fostering 3 kittens aged 2-3 months and this is the perfect size for their “bedroom” at night. I don’t trust unsupervised kittens! It’s easy to set up and holds a litter box, bed, and food dishes comfortably. It’s sturdy enough that it doesn’t collapse if kittens jump on top and even if they land juuuust right that the side folds in, it pops right back up into place once the kitten hops off. Set up takes a few minutes to get all the rods in, same with putting it away, but it’s easy enough if you only need it for a short time. Make sure you remove the rods before you collapse it back down to put away! When I put it away the first time I was surprised that I was actually able to get it to fold just right to fit back in the carrying case. Overall a great purchase. In terms of size, it works great for cats and kittens and I’d feel ok leaving my 45lb Aussie mix in it for a few hours if he needed to be crated for something but I think the height is a little short for anything bigger than that to comfortably stand up and turn around. Probably not ideal for 60lb+ dogs even at this largest size. ... show more

Very stylish. Well made material is like a denim feel. Zippers are sturdy. Very quick and easy to put up and take down. Easy to clean. This is the second one I bought just a larger size to isolate my older cat that had surgery. My 13 lbs. 12 year old cat was upset ast first and resistant. But since it was fairly large, enough to hold a litter box, food bowl, water bottle and some of her favorite toys and blankets she didn't mind it as much. Very well made it kept its shape, has great ventilation and is easy to clean. Well worth the money. It's great whenever you need to corral your pets and keep them safe. ... show more

I actually used this for a foster kitten and found that it worked quite nicely as a short-term kennel. It seems like most pet playpens are hexagonal in shape, which I have not found very practical for organizing or cleaning. The rectangular shape made it simpler to tuck bedding, food/water bowls, and a litter box into separate corners. Kittens tend to make a mess when litter box training, so I used both washable whelping and disposable pee pads on the bottom to make daily cleaning more efficient and keep the bottom of the playpen itself unsoiled. And since whelping and disposable pads are usually rectangular, it's far easier to fit them neatly into a rectangular playpen than a hexagonal one. The medium sized playpen (approx. 31x23x21") was perfect for the foster kitten when she was very small, but once she was about 8 weeks old it was clear that she needed more kennel space. She became accustomed to being able to run around a room with some older foster kittens and explore the common areas of the home while supervised, so being stuck in the kennel at night must have started to feel restrictive. She became restless and vocal in her objections. So I transferred her to the large size (approx. 43x33x23") of same kennel, and she was much more content with her accommodations after the upgrade. Assembly is quick and easy. The vertical support rods make the sides pretty sturdy, and the only real structural weakness is the top. The other foster kittens would jump up and run across it, pushing the middle down. The 12 pound resident cat attempted it once, and it pushed the top down to the bottom like an elephant sitting on a small trampoline. It's just not built to have weight exerted on it. The side panels made of netting snagged a little but held up surprisingly well to the tiny death blades when she climbed up them "Ninja Warrior" contestant-style. After the foster kitten was adopted, trying to fold the shell back into the proper flat shape to fit into the storage pouch proved to be the biggest issue I had with this product. I tried to follow both the diagram and the written instructions, but repeatedly couldn't get it quite right. I ended up with a slightly wonky result and concluded, "Oh well, that's probably good enough..." ... show more

I got this to keep my small (10 pound) elderly dog in at night to be safe, since she is blind and has dementia. It is very spacious and comfortable for her, and I love how it is easy to take it down and put it back up if you need. There is a zipper all the way around the top and there is one on the side which makes it very easy access. I would definitely recommend this! ... show more

We bought this to travel with our dogs this summer without lugging a large crate around. We have a beagle and a Jack Russell who are inseparable and this unit is large enough for them to cuddle in and sleep comfortably. It is a bit tricky to fold back down but a bit of practice makes ot easier. I loved the top access as well as the dual side zippers that allow for rasy set up and access. We also have been keeping this in the car for those days you pop out a picnic and don't have an easy spot to secure the furry family. It cleans pretty easy as well.
