Good kit but was missing 1 of the orange gaskets for block of plate can't finish engine build untill I can find o specific o ring or install freeze plugs

Great way to get rid of those dod lifters and make it run right again. Kit contained everything in it to do the job even the gaskets. Once the vehicle was reprogrammed it ran good as new!

The media could not be loaded. The lifters are of poor quality! They start to sound like a band after the minutes

    • It's ok
The Angry Mechanic sez, I always replace the oil pump and timing chain set when rebuilding an engine with high mileage or unknown origins, since those are not in the kit it is an additional cost. The lifter valley plate is not even close to OEM quality, I chose not to use it and went with a billet made one. The quality of the Other parts included is average and comparable to the import parts from a auto supply store. Head gaskets are basic jobber replacements, 3 Layer, .051 thickness. If you have a known good short block in excellent condition this kit would be a good start. If you picked a junkyard engine, I would go with a kit that has a oil pump and timing kit. ... show more

So far easy to install and works as stated. But it is very time consuming so be ready for an all day job. But do tune up once the kit is installed. Great buy for the money.

After installing this cam kit misfires on all afm cylinders (1,4,6,7) unable to contact manufacturer.this has cost me 20+hrs of time plus hundreds if not thousands of dollars
