Once you're done with this it looks great, but does require some work to make it look professional. It has a decent sanding job out of the box, but you'll have to use a higher grit to really get a smooth finish. The included wood is real unfinished wood so you'll have to seal the wood in-order to protect it from the weather. This makes it much less susceptible to warping amongst other things. ... show more

I ordered this privacy screen to hide two areas in my back yard (those items one has to have in the yard but that don't look so great unless one landscapes the heck out of them) so that when I'm swinging on my porch, there is a more pleasant view (i.e., ugly items blocked). I used the two panels separately, but it would have been easy to put them together. What I like about these panels: 1. Fairly easy to put together (although the last board to put in place on both panels was challenging; one of the boards cracked, which is why I'm giving four stars). It probably took me about an hour. (Putting together things doesn't come naturally to me.) 2. Fairly attractive. 3. Hides ugly (but necessary) items in the yard. What I don't like: 1. I'd like to have the boards closer together. This is so easy to put together and it’s very sturdy. I did decide to steal it with an extra layer of stain and protectant to match my other wooden pieces, but I don’t think it needed it. I like how it looks. It’s blocking my air conditioner. I like that there’s still plenty of air flow. I’m very happy with the size and performance. It was easy to put together and installed in the ground with ease It looks good. The only draw back I have is that the screws holding both panels together are too small They popped out after puttin in ground. Had to reinstall and they won’t get tight so I had to get bigger and longer screws. Other than that very nice panels ... show more
