  • New Dockers ain't like the old cotton. Fit is good.
My Dockers wardrobe from the early 90's is finally beyond hope. In the early 90's I purchased a few dozen pair of Dockers pleated pants, all cotton, and have been wearing them for now nearly 25 years. The vast majority have ragged bottoms, thighs have worn through, wallet has worn holes in the back pocket...you know the drill. All old Dockers had buttons at the waist. Now the new Dockers. Cotton/polyester blend, the relaxed fit are almost the fix from the 1990's pants, but not quite. I had a few here and there that had clips, no buttons, other had clips and buttons, and these latest have buttons only at the waist. I think there was a public outcry about buttons, so they went back to buttons. Material is kinda shiny, silky, a bit slippery compared to all cotton. Cloth is definitely thinner than the old days. I doubt these will last as long as my old ones. I have washed these at least 10 times, ironed, and so far, they still look good. The still take a crease, and the crease has not turned into that obvious white line down the front of you leg (old cotton always did this...annoyed me). So while they are not the good old cotton variety that we grew up with, times are a changing, so have to adapt. So far so good. Fit is as expected...same as sizes from 90's . 90's dockers and 2017 dockers fit in the waist the same, length is good, thighs are a bit smaller. Rump fits the same in the relaxed fit. ... show more

  • Creepy material that won't stay clean
New material is awful. I used to really love these pants. I liked the fit and the material and they were comfortable. I'd buy a lot of them and didn't have to go shopping and trying on a lot of different pants to find something I liked. I recently ordered another batch of pants and they are now made out of some new material. They don't stay clean. Everything sticks to them: Dust, lint, hair, anything and everything. They never look fresh and clean even after I pull them out of the washer or after I've taken them to the dry cleaner to see if they could do a better job. I won't be buying these pants again. ... show more

  • You can no longer print a return label to amazon
Size: 40W x 32L Color: Dockers Navy
The pants don't fit. You can no longer print a return label - you have to scan a code on your mobile and show it at the UPS drop off location. Here in the middle of Nowhere, TX you have to bang on the garage type metal door and hope they will open it. I don't have much confidence in being able to show a scanned code and have a label printed at this location. Cloths and shoes sometimes don't fit and I'm not jumping through hoops like this to return them. Thus I won't be ordering anything else of this nature from amazon. ... show more

  • OK, but not true to size.
Size: 44W x 30L Color: Black
I already had the 42 x 30 "Classic fit" version of these which I've been trying to re-order but keep getting versions that are not quite right. I thought these relaxed fit 44x30 would be roomier, but it's tighter. I got another version (I forget the name) which was even worse. So, about these 44X30 relaxed fit: THESE ARE NOT HIGH RISE, THESE ARE LOW RISE! That means from the bottom of your crotch to the belt is short!!!! It doesn't rise to my mid section. The 42" "Classic" has a higher rise than these, the 44" "relaxed" fit. Why would that be? It's very frustrating. Fortunately, these pants have stretched out a bit so I can now wear them fairly comfortably. So don't panic if it's a little tight at first -- the "stretch" material does stretch out some after a few wears. ... show more

  • Dockers maybe, the same quality NO
These pants are a staple for my husband who has worn them for most of the years he has worked in retail. I say this because we have an expectation of receiving the same product that we always have as we usually order 6-7 pairs at a time , but this order was a disappointment because the fabric is thinner or lower quality because he began to rip them out one after another. in the past when his pants got older he might have the rear seam rip out but these were strange like stress tears straight down a leg or straight across. They just weren't the same in our estimation. We don't want to pay more but would rather pay a little more and have better quality. the last time I looked to order them I didn't see them available so maybe there will be some change in the quality because we couldn't have been the only ones who noticed the difference. ... show more

  • Finally got the fit right.
Size: 38W x 32L Color: Dockers Navy
The hardest part of buying Dockers is figuring which cut will fit me. On the third try, I finally got it right. Thank goodness for Prime Wardrobe and those two free returns. I like pants that sit on the hips, not below them, so I need a large rise. The first cut I bought had a low rise. The second cut had the correct rise for me, but was way too big in the thigh. I've been wearing Dockers for years so I already know they are well made, durable, and comfortable once you figure out your cut. ... show more

  • Lengths of slack aren’t always consistent
Size: 42W x 32L Color: Steelhead (Stretch)
Needed some new slacks so I went with what I thought was a safe brand. Bought the Docker’s in Khaki, cloud and steelhead. After trying on the first two pair didn’t see the need to try on the steelhead slacks. Washed and ironed the slacks and all set for work. Got dressed for work the next morning and noticed that the steelhead slack were short. Wore boots to mask the missing material and went off to work. Upon completion of my work day I compared the Khaki and Cloud slack against the steelhead. The steelhead were an inch shorter than the other slacks. Checked the label and it was marked with the correct length BUT the tape measure against the inseam said quality control missed one. Guess I have my first pair of shorts for the impending summer. Next time I’ll try on ALL purchased items before I put them in the washer. ... show more
