  • Independence
I am 73 years old it is very important to me that I maintain as much independence as possible. I live in a single-story home and although I am not able to put up my Christmas lights I would like to be able to help by taking them down after Christmas. My son lives locally and is very kind and generous about helping me decorate the outside of the house which I am unable to do because of ladder issues, a little vertigo, and just general unease. This year my son has been so busy at work and I could see that his own Christmas lights had not been taken down yet. I asked a neighbor if he had a utility hook that I could use in order to reach the roof pitch but he didn’t. I went on Amazon and found exactly what I needed. Although I really didn’t want to pay quite that much I realized that it was for the best because it was sturdy, it was easy to use, and I love that it had such a long extension to it. I did have to use my ladder as well in order to reach the highest part of the pitch and yes I was nervous being on the ladder, especially when a man walking his dog yelled out to me a big good morning. My back was to him so I didn’t see him coming and I was trying to be very careful… I almost fell off the flipping ladder! He cautioned me on my use of the ladder and I reassured him that I was recalling my days of walking across Niagara Falls on a tight wire holding just such a pole (idiot-yelling out to someone who has their back to him). 😂🤣 Other than that I felt so good about being able to take down the Christmas lights put everything away and not have to worry or fret about my family coming over to do it for me. This is probably a very silly review when I don’t mean it to be such, it worked out extremely well for me and I am so glad I have this item. I am going to get a lot of use from it all of which will lead to my feeling of independence. Thank you! ... show more

  • Flimsy and doesn't stay locked in extended positions
Size: 24 Foot
After researching the Docapole and Eversprout extenstion poles I could not decide which one to purchase, so I bought both, including the hooks associated with each. I figured one would be better than the other but simply could not ascertain online. My son and I used them to hang Christmas lights in tall trees in our yard. There is simply NO COMPARISON between these two products. When fully extended the Docapole is a lightweight cheap stick incapable of even holding up a string of Christmas lights. It would not stay extended even though it was "locked" - the "locks" are useless. It then bent within 3-5 times stringing lights (in about 15' of use). It then would not telescope back down all the way. I returned it, but had to take it to a packaging center since it would not telescope back in. A complete waste. Conversely, the Eversprout extension pole telescoped out and in easily, stays locked in position and is sturdy when fully extended. Furthermore, it's about $10 cheaper. Don't waste your time with Docapole. On a final note, I found the hooks for each to be very similar, but I used the Eversprout for hours (since the pole was much sturdier) whereas I only used the docapole hook for about 15' ... show more

  • This thing is a beast!
I needed an extension pole to lift up shirts, etc to the top rail in our closet, and browsing through what was listed on Amazon, everything seemed either too cheap, short and flimsy, or too long, overbuilt and expensive. For just moving clothes up, this is... Well, a little overkill. But as it turns out, it's amazing for getting to anything that is in ladder territory, or even "Why do I want to pay for a 20 ft ladder just to get this little thing up on the ceiling?" territory. It's incredibly well built, sturdy, light weight and very nicely adjustable. Aside from the helpful hook (nice design), it came with a duster. I didn't even know that it did, but the duster was handy as well. Anyway, if you're on the fence - buy this - you won't be disappointed! ... show more

  • This is the best extension pole ever!
This is an awesome, very sturdy, adjustable long pole with great attachments. I have 12 foot ceilings throughout the house and in the master bedroom closet with three rows of clothes rods to the ceiling. I can only reach the bottom rod from the ground. This pole allows me to reach the 2nd and 3rd rows perfectly, and the hook attachment allows for up to three or four hangers at a time without slipping off. I also use it to hang clothes to dry in my laundry room way up high. I use the pole with the duster attachment to dust my chandeliers from a 22 foot ceiling in the family room and entry way. This is all around an outstanding product and I definitely recommend it to everyone! It arrived on time and in perfect condition. ... show more

  • Too unwieldy to function in any useful way
Size: 30 Foot
I love the idea of this thing... but when it's extended to 30', don't even bother trying to control it. I'm a 6'3" man with long arms, and I was really struggling to control this thing because it's so wobbly when extended out. And don't forget, this is ONLY the bar, not even with anything on it. And this was my second one... the first one was clearly used and wouldn't even extend because it went bent, so I had to send it back - again, probably because it can't support it's own weight when extended. But even if I COULD control it, I found it to be pretty useless. I was using the hook to take a Christmas wreath off my house, and the second I attempted to put any weight on it, the bars collapsed in. It simply doesn't hold enough weight to be useful, making the hook a really bad option. This thing is a great concept, but it needs to be made from a stronger material. Because aluminum ain't cutting it. ... show more
