These weightlifting hooks help me push past the limits of my grip strength, allowing me to focus on the weight without worrying about my hands giving out. Compared to lifting straps, these hooks are way easier to use. Instead of taking time to wrap the straps, you just hook them on and go. They feel durable enough to last several years, maybe even through your entire lifting career. The Velcro straps are sturdy and secure. The one downside is that you can’t quickly release the weight by opening your hands like you would with straps. To detach the weight, you have to move the hook in the opposite direction of the bar, so don’t use these for pull-ups. You can actually get stuck mid-air if you’re not careful. They even offer a bit more hand protection than lifting straps. These hooks are a solid investment. ... show more

These weren't the cheapest, but they looked to be good quality. They were delivered on time with no problems. I just used them for the first time at the gym, and they worked great. Well made and sturdy. I'm 70, and I am having problems with my knuckles from seated rows and shoulder shrugs. I tried lifting straps, but they were not sufficient for my problem. With these I was able to unload all weight from my left hand where my problems are. As expected, they are a little awkward/heavy. But they definitely will let me continue with my pull exercises without injuring myself. So these are a win in my book. ... show more

Idk, maybe I’m considered tiny? The hooks are huge and when the strap is around my wrist & weights on it, the hooks hang even lower than my fingers can wrap around. I’m just under 5’1” and 114lbs and the dumbbells I have have fat bars so it’s hard for me to hold them for longer sets. Was hoping this could alleviate the weight on my fingers but had to return them. Quality wise, it’s really nice, thick strong material and the hooks are seriously heavy duty but just too bulky for me. ... show more
