I was so happy with this little visual effects box, that I wanted to do a proper review of every mode that it does. After a bit I realized what a gargantuan task that would be. Instead I'll just tell you - get it! Of course, it won't compare to some of the DMX-controlled powerhouses that are 10x the price and 10x the size. But given price and portability of that thing, I can't say that I've ever seen the combo. It's now a staple of my gigbag, my VJ on the go. Who doesn't want to split my fee either. ;-) ... show more

I love this laser, it’s different modes, including sound mode, strobe, and the ability to choose a single laser have made this thing well worth the money. The remote that you use to change the settings however is not awesome. I’m not sure if the IR sensor isn’t good or what the trouble is realy but my remote only works when I want it to about 75% of the time. Since I am often using this for video, timing is important to failure of the remote to be a pain. I wish the instructions were a bit more clear about how the two buttons on the laser itself function. And though it doesn’t affect me, somewhere in the details on Amazon, it states that it is DMX capable. This is untrue as far as I know because there are no external connection ports other than for power. Overall I love this thing even with its drawbacks! ... show more

I tried hard to like this. I purchased it because it was dmx512 controlled but, to be fair, they seem to have removed that and no longer appears in the listing. However my review is based on why I wanted it, dmx. First issue was the break down in the manual didn't really work as far as color controls. So I posted a question about a profile and one reply was it came with a remote and ther was no. The seller replied to me and this when I knew it was hopeless...what is DMX was their reply. In the end I have returned this. Also, as some others have mentioned, it is very dim and unless you are using it in total darkness it is useless. ... show more

I have these set up in my basement which I converted into a mini dance club. These lights perform extremely well and add a lot of fun to the room. I have yet to be disappointed with them. Plenty of settings and mesmerizing lasers. I would recommend a disco ball for an added effect.

The lights are not as bright as depicted in the photos. The photos depict really crisp lights and it's nothing like the photos. I liken it to the old 2-megapixel digital camera vs 16 megapixel, with these lights being 2 megapixels. As if that wasn't disappointing enough the motor stopped working. This unit is in a climate controlled building 75^f with humidity @ 55% constant. It's a shame and a bit surprising because it's actually constructed of a nice gauge metal. ... show more
