What I liked: Level of detail, number of pieces, level of difficulty (which was challenging, but not too hard). It's super cute! What I didn't like: BYOG (Bring Your Own Glue.) Seriously. I had to use the glue from another kit to complete this. It has no adhesive whatsoever. Nothing is perforated except for the tiny leaves on the vine. I suggest buying some craft tweezers that have a very sharp, bent point (see my photos). They helped a ton! The cavi (rodent) is mine. He doesn't come with the kit. This is where I advise you to have fun and be creative. The controller for the light is hidden inside the cabinet. This is annoying because it requires tweezers or skinny fingers to extract it. Quality of the build could be better. Perforated paper details would be lovely. Small scissors are a must with this kit. Overall, I'm happy. ... show more

This is not a kit you just cut out and assemble, but if you’re looking to work with a wide range of materials and use different DIY skills, this is for you! Painting the wooden parts was the most time consuming part of it, but it IS worth it! Suggest you paint the pieces first before gluing them together. Electrical is not too hard, but wires are fragile. Working with cloth and making paper flowers and furniture was fun, a little of everything! ... show more

What a well put together, high quality set! I do a lot of these, but this has to be up there with Rolife miniature builds. Everything is included (minus glue, batteries and scissors) and the details of the items like the sewing machine and iron, for instance, are great. The pieces so far fit nicely and I have not had to modify parts to fit. It does take time and patience like all miniature kits, but it's worth it. I was impressed this includes paint to customize even further if desired. The instructions are easy to follow, clear and everything is well made and sturdy. I still have more work to do as this is not a project to rush. I can only work on it during the weekends when I have time, but it is an enjoyable escape and one I appreciate. This is definitely worth the cost. Like I mentioned I have done a lot of miniature building, scenes, vehicles...etc.. but this one is a better value than ones I've ordered and completed which were no where near as good. ... show more

This kit is not an easy snap together and it was so much fun. This kit has you making all sorts of things from scratch like little ribbon and yarn spools and plants out of tissue paper. It was such a fun project to put together. If you’ve done a few snap together or semi-snap togethers this would be a good kit to advance with. After doing a few kits of this type you sort of understand what they want you to do so the instructions are easier. The pictures in the instruction booklet are pretty good and they have lots of nice pictures. The tailor shop kit has paint but you can skip the paint if you don’t want to fuss with it. It’s really only needed to paint the edges so they aren’t wood colored. I personally like the look of them painted but it’s not necessary. The paint is a bit thin so I painted the edges white first and then the coverage was fine. The wiring is very easy and standard for these kits and I had no problems. I did have to change the fabric used as the door hinge for the door that hides the batteries. The light blue fabric is just too stretchy to keep it shut. ... show more

This miniature house kit takes a while to build. The directions that they give you a very easy to understand. The thing that I had a problem with was the glue, it started irritating my hands.

I am currently assembling this little house so I don’t have pictures. I have done dozens of these kits and for me it’s quite easy. I wouldn’t say it’s kid easy but if you can read and follow directs it’s not rocket science. They are cute when complete. Dont expect premium materials this is not that. The reason got eve 3 starts is because I believe it is WAY over priced. You can purchase this same size kit for half the price and craft stores often times have 25 to 30% coupons often. UPDATE… so putting this together has been relatively easy except for the lighting. The book has a picture of the wiring but those wires are yellow and white the ones in the box are grey and white. Also the ground wire on the battery box broke off just by taking it out of the plastic bag. This will require me to solder it back on. I wasn’t counting on this being this troublesome. I feel it should have more info about wiring than just pictures. ... show more
